I've been very open about my #adhd #asd #dyscalculia diagnosis, which was a surprise to absolutely nobody who knows me. I'm also doing a masters so I can work in an area where I can help teens. I've been working super hard on my physical health to allow me to do this #acquireddisability . As a result this year I am physically able to participate in a fundraiser! We were discussing the concept of "self" in college one day and my lecturer was confused because I was describing my conscious self, subconscious self and body as three separate beings. It's something I've started doing since #AcquiredDisability because my conscious self doesn't have full control of my body at all times #fibromyalgia then there is sometimes arguments between my #subconscious (which I call my os) and #conscious .
I will very often recommend #SpoonTheory to anyone recently diagnosed or struggling with a condition that causes #ChronicFatigue . Why? Because context is everything and usually ppl with these conditions are told to "pace yourself" with zero context. What is pacing to someone who used to do all the things?Its like waking up in someone else's broken body and not having a user manual. #AcquiredDisability #fibromyalgia #MECFS #ChronicFatigue #ChronicPain #LongCovid

It can be a cripplingly expensive and often fruitless journey. There are a few #ScienceBased and #WooFree groups out there for ppl with conditions like #MECFS and #fibromyalgia which have similar symptoms to #LongCovid they are worth talking to. Also if you haven't heard of #SpoonTheory it's worth looking up

I've been hyper fixated on time loops & #QuantumPhysics and #multiverse and just having fun thinking and imagining. I love #SciFi. And E.E.A.A
O is now my favorite film ever, hands down.
So, right now as I am laying in bed thinking about how difficult it is to live with #mecfs and wondering if I will I ever feel 'healthy' again, it hit me -- how living with an #AcquiredDisability or chronic illness is kind of like living in a time loop?
The days go by so slowly, but somehow months and years are over in a blur and I can't remember them at all. Much of the same happens each day. I have little choice in what I can actually do. It feels neverending. And I yearn to return to The Before. While not knowing if it'll ever be possible to get there.
