Today I learned about #FootpathFriday for the first time from all the posts from yesterday and I think I might now be in serious hashtag love.

I missed the posting day, but not my own footpath on Friday - this one from my second walk of the week along the Laurel Bluffs Trail in the #enoriver state park near Durham, North Carolina.

I'm sure there's a land history somewhere of the actual dates - but for how forests grow in the Piedmont ( https://dukeforest.duke.edu/forest-environment/forest-succession/ ) this is a 70+ year old stand

Was able to sign up for a Bigfoot Trail Alliance trip at the last minute to head out to Yolla Bolly for a week. This does mean that my few blog post readers will be left not knowing what happens with 2 days out of 3 posted. The predicament is set up: Two days in and one to go on a looping hike and we find that although there is a sign here pointing the way for our trail, there's only an old water ditch there to follow and no trail along it except that which the animals have left. Admittedly, the animals really like going this way. Since the ditch only goes up creek and we were climbing out, it definitely wouldn't provide much of our route. The whole length of it has no visible trail climbing up from it. Oh, the suspense!
