@david_preston they look like the KLF’s Old Ford Galaxie to me. I vaguely recall reading they were imported as part of setting up the base but I’d be hard pressed to remember where I read that.

@CarveHerName it does indeed. Oh to have been a fly on the wall when they were agreeing to house them, organising the logistics, nukes, cop cars, big mad bunker.

It's a great result to have it removed.

@CarveHerName weirdly, I was part of the earlier marches around Greenham, must have been around 1980/81 I guess.
As kids, we only really half understood why we were there, or the implications. I guess now I can look back at it as being part of history.

@CarveHerName I met some of the Greenham Common women: courageous old ladies who took shifts of a few days (being a bit too rheumatic for weeks of camping in bad weather) and were arrested often.
