#puzzling -cough- Maya again. I was trying out the style of this cool artist I found on the 'tube: https://www.instagram.com/sloeo - the shading is very much not my normal style so I struggled a bit - but I learned a lot and have mad respect for their ability to smoothly blend out things in...any medium, basically. also great use of desaturated colors, which I think is basically my goal for this inktober.

#onion - pay no attention to the fact that most of this painting is not an onion. just remembered this photo that I took. This one had a long ugly phase that...just kinda went away when I wasn't paying attention to it? gouache is a bitch. I should remember to let things dry before I decide that I hate it. also tried to practice more with warm colors, since I, uh, don't actually have any warm colors in my paint palette. except for an orange, which is still technically a cool orange lmao.
