DREAMING WITH BETTER VENTILATION
I can wake from the dream and still appear to be living within it.
Waking does not mean the body disappears, the kitchen vanishes, Pete stops making tea, or the dogs stop farting with devotional seriousness.
It means I no longer mistake the dream for Reality.
I still live here. I still clean the bathroom, eat brunch, walk in the park, breathe, get tired, laugh, reply to email, and watch YouTube on the bed. The body still has its weather. The world still has its little dramas.
But something has shifted.
I am no longer asking the dream to prove who I am.
That is waking while still appearing to live within it.
ACIM would call this the happy dream. Not because the dream becomes perfect, but because I am no longer using it for attack, grievance, fear, and self-definition.
The world becomes a classroom, then a kindness field, then almost transparent.
So yes.
I can wake from the dream and still be in it.
I live normally, but less fooled.
I respond, but less defended.
I feel pain, but I do not give it final authority.
I love Pete, the dogs, the house, and the ordinary day, but I no longer ask any of it to be permanent.
This is not escape from the world.
It is freedom from believing the world is all there is.
