The Corriere della sera editor intervenes on Otto e mezzo, Lilli Gruber’s program on La7 on Thursday, May 28th, starting by listing the merits of the Pd secretary: “She took a party at a corpse-like moment and brought it back to the forefront of the world, and this should be recognized. Bersani on La7: “Salaries are too low, but Meloni doesn’t want to pass a law on contracts in order not to harm her friends.”

Giorgia Meloni’s words at the Confindustria annual assembly and her attacks on the European Union? It’s her usual way of saving herself in a corner and not recognizing the problems. These are the words of Pier Luigi Bersani, who, as a guest on Otto e mezzo (La7), comments on the Prime Minister’s intervention at the Confindustria annual assembly, where she renewed her attacks on Europe, accused of being “too ideological.”

Presenter Lilli Gruber outlines the current picture: after three and a half years of Meloni’s government, Italy is registering the lowest growth in Europe, the collapse of purchasing power, industrial production in decline for over three years, rising inflation, record high tax pressure, and almost six million people in absolute poverty.

For Bersani, it’s a consolidated strategy of Meloni to evade her responsibilities: “It’s the same Europe as when we, having emerged from the Covid, were growing at more than 3%, among the first. Now we are last and those 26 European countries ahead of us have the same Europe.” A stark contrast, aggravated by the fact that Italy has received 200 billion euros from the PNRR.

The former minister adds: “You can’t hamstring Europe and then expect it to run. As long as Meloni continues to put herself in the way when Europe has to make a serious decision, whether it’s tariffs or the suspension of agreements with Israel, and as long as Meloni flirts with the current main enemy of Europe, that’s Trump, she mustn’t allow herself to criticize Europe.”

Bersani then focuses on the words of the industrialists, who highlighted a central problem: wages that are too low. Here, the proposal for a law on contracts enters the picture, which the former leader of the Pd believes is urgent but that the Meloni government does not intend to implement. In concrete terms, it’s a law on trade union and employer representation: the collective agreement signed by the most representative organizations (by number of members or votes in the RSU elections) should be binding on everyone, that is, on all workers in the sector. Today, instead, contracts are signed by minor unions, offering lower conditions, true dumping agreements.

These contracts pull down the entire wage level, creating unfair competition on labor costs. Real wages in Italy are down by 8% compared to three years ago, Bersani recalls. Yet, the Italian economy relies on 70% on domestic consumption: without adequate wages, consumption doesn’t restart and growth remains anemic. “When entrepreneurs tell you that wages are too low, you tell them, ‘Come here entrepreneur, let’s talk for a moment about a nice law on contracts’,” says Bersani. But the Prime Minister avoids the confrontation because it would mean “targeting those unions, those entrepreneurs, that stuff.”

Il Tempo: Freccero-Travaglio, che rissa su Garlasco: "Da chi dovete imparare..."

Botte da orbi sul caso di Garlasco e in più in generale sulla giustizia nello studio di Lilli Gruber. A Otto e mezzo, il programma di La7, si fronteggiano infatti l'ospite fisso Marco Travaglio e Carlo Freccero. L'esperto di tv già direttore di Rai 2 la dice chiara: "Io non sono un giudice e non ho assolutamente competenze, per cui non so chi è colpevole oppure no. So solamente che c'è uno in galera innocente, cioè Alberto Stasi. A me questa cosa non piace".
Come noto il fidanzato di Chiara Poggi era stato condannato e poi assolto, al termine di un tortuoso iter giudiziario la Cassazione ha rovesciato le assoluzioni e confermato la condanna di Stasi. Freccero: "Poi la revisione è ammessa addirittura nel nostro ordinamento, se ci sono dei fatti nuovi...". Il direttore de Il Fatto non ci sta: "E chi l'ha detto che è innocente?". 

Freccero a quel punto cita "i cento errori nell'inchiesta" elencati nelle scorse settimane da Umberto Brindani direttore di Oggi, e il lavoro di creator del web.  "Allora, tu hai questa idea che la Cassazione ha sempre ragione. Su Internet c'è una community che ha lavorato sui documenti con una competenza e una precisione incredibili. Dovete davvero imparare a tenere presente Internet, anche tu, Marco, non solamente i giornaloni, perché ormai lo scenario è cambiato. Ci sono personaggi molto importanti che la televisione ha dovuto riprenderli, Bugalalla, Spinnato...". «
Travaglio respinge questa versione e irride i personaggi indicati da Freccero: "Hai citato una manica di cazzari che la metà basta. Sono una manica di cialtroni che inventano un sacco di balle". "C'è anche della gente competente, credimi. E io sono pronto a sostenere pubblicamente la competenza di queste persone", ribatte l'ex direttore di Rai2.

Freccero then cites “the one hundred errors in the investigation” listed in the past few weeks by Umberto Brindani, editor of Oggi, and the work of web creators. “So, you have this idea that the Court of Cassation is always right. On the Internet there is a community that has worked on the documents with incredible competence and precision. You really have to learn to take the Internet into account, even you, Marco, not just the big newspapers, because the scenario has changed. There are very important people that television has had to take back, Bugalalla, Spinnato…”

Travaglio rejects this version and mocks the figures indicated by Freccero: “You’ve cited a bunch of idiots who the half is enough. They’re a bunch of fools who invent a lot of lies.” “There’s also competent people, believe me. Il Fatto Quotidiano: Scontro Bocchino-Gruber: “Guerra all’Iran giusta se fosse stata gestita meglio”. “È contro tutte le regole del diritto internazionale”

Acceso confronto a Otto e mezzo (La7) tra Lilli Gruber e Italo Bocchino, ex parlamentare del Pdl e direttore editoriale del Secolo d’Italia, sulla guerra tra Stati Uniti, Israele e Iran.
Bocchino esordisce sostenendo che “le guerre sono tutte brutte ma ci sono anche delle guerre giuste”. Ma la giornalista lo interrompe subito: “La guerra contro l’Iran è una guerra giusta? Ma è contro tutte le regole internazionali“.
L’ex deputato insiste: “Ci sono guerre giuste, come quelle per far finire il nazismo e il fascismo. La guerra all’Iran per far finire quel regime e liberare la popolazione sarebbe stata giusta, se non fosse stata gestita coi piedi”.
Gruber replica decisa: “Ma no, non sarebbe stata comunque una guerra giusta, è contro tutte le regole del diritto internazionale”.
Il dibattito si anima quando Bocchino difende la linea del governo: “Trump ha fatto una grande fesseria e la Meloni lo ha criticato“.
Gruber lo corregge immediatamente: “No, veramente la Meloni ha detto che non condannava, né condivideva la guerra contro l’Iran“.
Bocchino rilancia allora sul tema delle basi: “Quella è stata la sua prima dichiarazione ma non ha dato la base di Sigonella, mentre il governo Conte e il governo Gentiloni avevano dato le basi italiane per andare a bombardare la Siria. La Meloni invece è stata molto dura e più rigorosa della sinistra”.
A quel punto la conduttrice taglia corto, sottolineando che il paragone non regge. Quella israelo-americana, infatti, è una campagna di bombardamenti contro uno Stato sovrano come l’Iran, un’operazione ad alto rischio e fuori dalle regole del diritto internazionale. Diverso invece il contesto dei governi Gentiloni e Conte, quando l’Italia autorizzò l’uso di Sigonella per operazioni antiterrorismo contro l’Isis, nel quadro di una coalizione internazionale più ampia e rivolta contro un gruppo jihadista non statuale. Due situazioni con natura, rischi e basi giuridiche del tutto differenti.

Il Tempo: Otto e mezzo, da Gruber l'ossessione sinistra: "Siamo al bunga bunga"

Patriarcato, abusi di potere e gli echi del bunga bunga. La vicenda della relazione del ministro dell'Interno Matteo Piantedosi e della giornalista Claudia Conte accende gli animi a Otto e mezzo, il programma condotto da Lilli Gruber su La7, e scatena antiche e mai sopite ossessioni. "Parlare di libero amore, di libertà sessuale che rimangono i cavalli di battaglia del femminismo, ma vengono sempre strumentalizzati contro di noi, esprimono una grande disinvoltura degli uomini di potere e che non ha nulla a che vedere con la libertà e molto con gli abusi di potere", va attacco la filosofa italo-australiana Rosi Braidotti. L'ospite di Gruber è un fiume in piena: "C'è una grande dose di ipocrisia, questo è un governo che ha messo a bando le famiglie arcobaleno, un governo in cui l'omotransfobia e l'antifemminismo. C'è anche un divertente ritorno di un certo berlusconismo, non siamo ancora a bunga bunga ma questi uomini devono darsi una controllata perché mettono veramente anche in imbarazzo le donne che cercano di governarli", attacca la paladina della sinistra. 
Braidotti incredibilmente mette tutto in un calderone: "Il corpo come merce di scambio è veramente il tratto distintivo del patriarcato", afferma citando Giselle Pellicot e gli Epstein Files accanto "al comportamento dei nostri uomini di potere". Intemerata difesa a spada tratta dalla conduttrice nei riguardi delle contro-argomentazioni di Annalisa Terranova del Secolo d'Italia: "Non c'è un solo provvedimento legislativo di questo governo che va contro il mondo LGBTQ+, a meno che non intendiate che l'essere contrario alla gestazione per altri è una forma di esclusione per le famiglie non tradizionali" afferma in un passaggio Terranova. "Secondo me una femminista come Rosi Braidotti dovrebbe apprezzarlo, un provvedimento che tutela le donne dallo sfruttamento del loro corpo", continua la giornalista che sul caso Piantedosi respinge le suggestioni della filosofa: "Una relazione con una giornalista perché è un abuso? Non capisco dov'è".

The affair involving Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi’s relationship with journalist Claudia Conte ignites passions on Otto e mezzo, the program hosted by Lilli Gruber on La7, and unleashes old, never-suppressed obsessions. “Talking about free love, about sexual freedom that remain the battlehorses of feminism, but are always instrumentalized against us, expresses a great nonchalance of powerful men and that has nothing to do with freedom and a great deal with abuse of power,” attacks philosopher Rosi Braidotti. The guest on Gruber’s program is a torrent: “There’s a large dose of hypocrisy, this is a government that has banned rainbow families, a government in which homophobia and antifeminism exist. There’s also a funny return of a certain Berlusconiism, we’re not yet at bunga bunga but these men need a check-up because they really embarrass women who are trying to govern them,” attacks the champion of the left.

Braidotti surprisingly puts everything into a cauldron: “The body as a commodity is truly the defining characteristic of patriarchy,” she states, citing Giselle Pellicot and the Epstein Files alongside “the behavior of our powerful men.” A vehement defense is fought out at arm’s length by the host in response to the counter-arguments of Annalisa Terranova of the Secolo d’Italia: “There isn’t a single piece of legislation by this government that goes against the LGBTQ+ world, unless you intend for opposing gestation for others to be a form of exclusion for non-traditional families,” says Terranova in a passage. “In my opinion, a feminist like Rosi Braidotti should appreciate it, a provision that protects women from the exploitation of their bodies,” continues the journalist, who on the Piantedosi case rejects the suggestions of the philosopher: “A relationship with a journalist because it’s an abuse? I don’t understand where it is.”
