Il Tempo: Sempio al contrattacco sullo scontrino: "L'ho fatto io, i testimoni dicono bugie"
A quasi diciotto anni dall'omicidio di Chiara Poggi, il delitto di Garlasco continua a far discutere tra sviluppi giudiziari, nuove perizie e polemiche mediatiche. Per l'assassinio è stato condannato in via definitiva Alberto Stasi, ma negli ultimi mesi l'attenzione si è concentrata anche su Andrea Sempio, più volte finito al centro di accertamenti e archiviazioni e ora nuovamente indagato. Questa sera Sempio è stato ospite di Quarta Repubblica, il programma condotto da Nicola Porro su Rete4, per un faccia a faccia in prima serata.
Alla domanda su cosa abbia inciso nel farlo sentire “un indagato a vita”, Sempio risponde: «Io credo che il grande jolly sia stato il DNA, perché il DNA prima era suscettibile di interpretazioni, poteva essere “usato in molti modi”. È stato quello l'elemento che ha permesso tutte le volte di insinuare nuovamente il dubbio». Sul caso Stasi e la colpevolezza aggiunge: «Quello non lo so, di sicuro però posso parlare a livello mediatico: anche lui ai tempi, prima ancora di essere condannato, ha vissuto la gogna mediatica e il fatto di essere additato come colpevole. È una cosa che non dovrebbe succedere in ogni caso, anche se poi, nel tempo, c'è stata la sua condanna».
Sempio torna poi sulla questione dello scontrino del parcheggio, elemento più volte richiamato nelle ricostruzioni: «Ribadisco, quello scontrino l'ho fatto io. Testimoni che dicono che me l'hanno dato, che sanno, che me l'ha passato qualcun altro, li vorrei vedere. Se ci sono, dicono balle. Se ci sono, perché nei mesi questo testimone è già cambiato più volte: prima ce n'era uno, poi c'è stata la storia del Vigile del Fuoco, poi lo scontrino è diventato falso, poi è diventato vero ed è tornato il Vigile del Fuoco, poi l'ultima è che è stato un mio parente. Anche questo discorso della persona che è stata sentita due volte, per me è una delle tante indiscrezioni che gira. Il punto è, come vi ho detto, che quello scontrino l'ho fatto io». Infine, sulle indiscrezioni relative alla nuova perizia della dottoressa Cattaneo, che potrebbe rivedere l'orario dell'omicidio: «Io ho raccontato quello che ho fatto quella giornata, l'orario può cambiare come vuole, io ho detto come è andata, non cambio versione».
Counterattack on the receipt: "I did it, the witnesses are lying."
Almost eighteen years after the murder of Chiara Poggi, the Garlasco case continues to spark debate among judicial developments, new expert reports, and media controversies. Alberto Stasi was definitively convicted of the murder, but in recent months, attention has also focused on Andrea Sempio, repeatedly at the center of investigations and archives, and now again under investigation. This evening, Sempio was a guest on Quarta Repubblica, the program hosted by Nicola Porro on Rete4, for a head-to-head interview in prime time.
In response to the question of what made him feel “a lifelong suspect,” Sempio replies: “I believe the big joker was the DNA, because the DNA was previously susceptible to interpretations, it could be ‘used in many ways.’ That’s what allowed all the times to insinuate the doubt again.” Regarding the Stasi case and guilt, he adds: “I don’t know that, but certainly I can speak at a media level: he also, before being convicted, experienced the media scrutiny and the fact of being branded guilty. It’s something that shouldn’t happen in any case, although then, over time, there was his conviction.”
Sempio then returned to the issue of the parking receipt, repeatedly cited in reconstructions: “I reiterate, I made that receipt. Witnesses who say they gave it to me, that they know, that someone else passed it to me, I want to see them. If they exist, they say lies. If they exist, why this witness has already changed so many times over the months: there was one, then there was the story of the Fire Department, then the receipt became false, then it became true and the Fire Department returned, then the last was that it was a relative of mine. This conversation about the person who was heard twice, for me is one of the many rumors that circulate. The point is, as I’ve told you, I made that receipt.” Finally, regarding the rumors about the new expert report by Dr. Cattaneo, which could revise the time of the murder: “I told you what I did that day, the time can change as it wants, I said how it went, I don’t change my version.”
