Political polls: parties and coalitions of the majority and opposition after the municipal elections, the latest Supermedia.

It is still too early to measure the effects on parties from the vote in last weekend’s municipal elections. The victories in Venice and Reggio Calabria favor the center-right majority, with Prime Minister Meloni celebrating, while the Campo Largo victories in Salerno, Prato, and Pistoia keep the competition measured in Youtrend’s Supermedia survey for Agenzia Italia.

Fanalino di coda Noi Moderati, all’1,1%.

Bitter poll for Giorgia Meloni: according to Termometro Politico, Fratelli d'Italia is at 28.1%. A slight drop for the Pd which reaches 22.0%, while M5S breathes again, rising to 12.7%.

After the recent municipal elections, the Italian political landscape is still settling. This is confirmed by the latest survey by Termometro Politico, which shows that Fratelli d’Italia led by Giorgia Meloni stands at 28.1%, down by almost a and a half points compared to February’s figures, when it reached 29.6%.

The Partito Democratico led by Elly Schlein is also struggling, losing 0.2% and falling to 22%, according to the same survey. Giuseppe Conte’s Movimento 5 Stelle, after a complicated period, recovers 0.2% and reaches 12.7%.

Forza Italia, led by Antonio Tajani, also increases by 0.1%, reaching 7.9%, consolidating its lead over Matteo Salvini’s Lega, which remains at 6.8%.

Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra is in decline, falling to 6%, as is Azione, which retreats to 2.9%. Futuro Nazionale also loses 0.1%, reaching 4%. Matteo Renzi’s Italia Viva is at 2.5%, +Europa at 1.8%, while Democrazia Popolare stops at 1.3%. Noi Moderati, led by 1.1%.

The Termometro Politico survey also highlights the difficulties faced by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The confidence of the interviewees, albeit slightly recovered, stands at 39.2%, a figure resulting from the sum of those who declare themselves “very satisfied” (24.4%) and those who say they are “quite satisfied” (14.8%).

The proportion of those who say they have “no confidence” in the premier remains high, standing at 50.7%. This is still an improvement compared to the previous week, when the dissatisfied represented 52.2% of the sample.

The article Bitter Survey for Giorgia Meloni: According to Termometro Politico, Fratelli d’Italia is at 28.1%. A slight decline of the Pd arrives at 22.0%, while M5S, which rises to 12.7%, seems to be the first news on LA NOTIZIA.

The twisted left, gripped by defeat. Case of Renzi: senator, don’t let them fool you.

“Certain loves don’t end,” sang Antonello Venditti. And the great love of the left, indeed the real erotic passion of the comrades, is known to be the analysis of defeat. In an instant, they’re capable of going from the lynching of the “right-wing” (format-Gruber on Tele-Cairo: three against one, and down come body blows) to a session of self-reflection. With an existential doubt: doesn't Elly not manage?

More sacred ground than wide ground. Panic on the left after the Meloni and Orsini blowout; The Times-Meta conference: stop the European regulatory obsession. The Front Page. We’re in the newsstand #buongiorno #27may #iltempoquotidiano pic.twitter.com/sF2WBvkJqx — IL TEMPO (@tempoweb) May 27, 2026

That’s how it is: every time a “liberal” (piddino) meets reality, it comes out swollen in the flesh and dejected in spirit. And those who regularly provide the final kick are their allies and their effective media apparatuses. Yesterday morning, for example, it was incredibly entertaining (compliments!) the front page of Il Fatto, which reported the defeat of the Pd alone. In short, it’s not the center-left, but only the Pd that’s sinking in Laguna. A bit like the lawyer from Gigi Proietti’s famous sketch with his client: “We’ll mess with you here… we, here you’ll mess with you.” It’s pointless to say that between Conte and Schlein, who metaphorically holds the lawyer’s part, and who holds the client’s.
In any case, read today our Aldo Rosati and Matteo Cassol and you won’t be able to help but smile at those on the political left who were already ideally at the tailor’s to have a suit made to measure for the inauguration at the Quirinal in 2027, and at those on the media left who were already singing the De Profundis for the government but now are presenting Meloni as the perfidious fascist prime minister ready for whatever blitz on the electoral law.
It’s all to laugh at, friends.
However, there are two issues on the table. The first concerns the right-wing, which must emerge from the (excessive) depression it fell into after the referendum. Now it’s about preparing an effective end to the legislature on three key themes: taxes, security, and immigration. Claiming the good work done so far, but also defining the next steps on those three issues.
The second issue concerns Senator Matteo Renzi, who here – he knows – we have always respected, either in consent or more frequently in dissent. In the political life of a pirate leader, it sometimes happens to have to seek spaces in difficult ways and places. And the circumstances convinced the leader of Italia Viva that a space for political action could only be won through an alliance on the left.
And so Renzi, with the talent for polemics that everyone recognizes in him, started firing a chain of attacks against Giorgia Meloni. A bit like if he wanted to show to the Pd, the grillini and Avs how to be in opposition, how to act as a tough guy.
And yet (first) the operation didn't work, and (second) if, by bad luck, it were to succeed in the next elections, the bus of the mix would be driven by the others, not by him. How could Renzi be guided in foreign policy by the Beijing-aligned and Tehran-aligned? In economics by the most reckless tax collectors, who aren't satisfied with the current dizzying tax pressure? On justice by the most unyielding thugs?
Senator Renzi, use your proverbial fantasy and agility. Get out of that group while you still can. Recover your full autonomy of action. And you'll see that his right to speak can be deservedly won in another way, far from bad company.

Vannacci attacks Forza Italia. According to Il Fatto: “Marina Berlusconi doesn’t want us in the coalition? A party directed by money and the media.”

He says he wants to talk about national future, yet he doesn’t hesitate to criticize other right-wing parties, especially Forza Italia, and also Noi Moderati led by Maurizio Lupi, whose “barking doesn’t even reach 1%.” And the Lega, of course, although without mentioning the old comrade, Matteo Salvini. But when he looks up at the sky, ridiculing him over the snap elections, he’s referring to him. This is a sign that within the coalition supporting the government, Roberto Vannacci is causing more than one headache. And he, having no roles other than the leadership of the party that will officially be born in 20 days, has an easy time firing off broadsides. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Polls, party members, committees, politicians joining his movement – and the result in Vigevano – currently give him reason.

Vannacci is at Pirelli. To his left is Luca Daniel Ferrazzi, to his right Pietro Macconi. They are the two regional councilors just arrived at Fn. The general answers questions about the local government – the tensions with Attilio Fontana, his support for his government – but it’s on national politics that he is most sharp-tongued. “Marina Berlusconi doesn’t want us in coalition? Is she speaking on behalf of someone? Does she do so because she’s the president of Mondadori? I don’t see that she’s the national secretary of Forza Italia. And anyway, I don’t need to print any more books.” And when he’s pointed out that Antonio Tajani meets with him as often as Pier Silvio Berlusconi, he repeats: “So what does that mean? Are we saying that some Italian parties are directed by money and publishing?” Rhetorical question, from his point of view. And specifically concerning a possible alliance including FI, Vannacci’s words are more nebulous: “Coalitions are made on projects, ideals, and values, not on parties. If we don’t break our red lines, which are non-negotiable, there’s total willingness for me.”

An opening is thus left, but respecting certain conditions.
One point, at least in the communication strategy, is clear: Fn will go its own way. As long as it’s not the time to choose which side to take: alone or in coalition. And here Vannacci reiterates it, incidentally putting Matteo Renzi in the middle: “He would sell his soul to be in my position, he lives off games of power and balancing the scales. These things don’t interest me. We want to grow as much as possible.”

In recent days, Paolo Sisto, a prominent Lega figure and deputy minister of Justice, declared “better with Calenda than with Vannacci.” And here the MEP formerly from the Lega continues on a sarcastic thread: “They are free to choose who they want, as, for example, they do in Europe, when they vote with the PD. They address an electorate that sees their left-leaning, less fashionable position with great criticism.” The concept comes up again when he speaks more generally about the right-wing: “Sometimes they play the role of an unfashionable left, perhaps for this reason they’re losing credibility, on one hand, and administrators, on the other. They put their hands out because they’re uncomfortable on the chair they’re sitting on.”
