#Trump literally lashing out against friends and neighbours will only backfire hard, and I expect @EUCommission and @europarl_en to enact #PrizeFreezes for #US #products & #services whilst forcing #Retaliatory #Tariffs on all US #products and espechally #services, demanding 100%+ in all #fees, and #revenue of #GAFAMs' services and products to the point that they'll effectively cancel half their revenue that flows back.

Plus forcing all products and services to be processed and sold via a #EU-based #corporation and adding a 30% "#AlienTax" as the #USA already does for i.e. #App #developers that ain't from the US even if they never sold a single license to a US customer.

Not to mention cancelling any #DataProtection agreements that only stalled the foreseeable court decision that #CloudAct is incompatible with #GDPR, thus banning #Office365 / #Microsoft365, #iCloud et. al. from the EU!

And yes, this level of #retaliation is not only just, but #overdue, as we need @european_alternatives / #EuropeanAlternatives to #VISA, #AMEX, #MasterCard, #PayPal, #Steam, etc.

Given #Trump can't be assed to even fake any #loyality or #allied status even for the cameras, this is a #ForeseeableConsequence.

As only with #Accountability and #Consequences will we see change, and punishing the GAFAMs is a neessity in this regard.

Unless we want to end up #downgraded into the state of a US-occupied overseas possession without statehood, like #Guam, #PuertoRico or #AVI...

Noone in the #EU wants their gas-guzzling, oversized #SuperUselessVehicles and wannabe-#Trucks because they completely go against any #regulations and #norms in #Europe, being overweight, inefficient, polluting and not even legally #trucks to begin with!

#Manufacturers like "P.R." #China, #Vietnam, #Japan, #India et. al. are quick to #pivot to other #markets like the #EU and the #GlobalSouth.

Just like penalizing #tariffs and #taxes in #Brazil didn't really get them much #industrialization and instead merely made certain items and products just unaffordably expensive to import and buy.

The matter of the fact is that this ain't 1945: the #US needs the #world more than vice-versa, espechally since the world moves on and both #EU and #NATO will continue to exist, thrive and expand even without the USA!

And no, #Trump|s #regime will #speedrun the #dedollarization of #WorldTrade in favour of the #Euro, because noone wants to deal with a regime that essentially devalued the #USD by 5,6% in the last 3 months, 2,4% in the last month alone compared to the #EUR!

It'll make the #USA more irrelevant and hopefully that'll be the end of it, with it ceasing to exist and it's remains being absorbed by #Mexico and #Canada along the former #SlaveryBelt!

It's pretty much absurd to do so without seriously interrogating whether the #Trump regime actually knows the shit it does or whether this is just a #dismantling operation by #AgentKrasnov to enshure #Putin gets what he wants.

After all, the whole #Ukraine - #Invasion timeline would've been perfect if Trump caused a #CivilWar in 2020 and thus upend any #resolve.

You can tell by the attempt to analyse a person's actions alone, without considering what's known about the motivation behind them. You see it more often in arguments that random innocent people are guilty of somthing because their actions could, if they had mens rea, add up to a crime, but it's generally a facet of the sort of highly compartmentalised cognition that right-wing thinking often drips of.

The fact that #Israel of all places who literally unilaterally declared 0% tariffs got no better deal than anyone else shows that one cannot negotiate with the Trumpist #Regime.

The @EUCommission led by #Zensursula even offered equal tariffs, but that's gonna get declined as well.

TBH, it's high time the @europarl_en enacts a #PrizeFreeze on #US-owned & controlled #products & #services (similar to the #OilPriceCap against #Russia) and enacts a 400% #tariff on #CCSS (#commercial closed-source #software) and 500% on #services (incl. #payments, #hostng, #cloud, #SaaS and #tech) as well as introduce a 250% #CapitalExportTax to the #USA or US-controlled subsidiaries to combat #TaxAvoidance and #TaxMitigations like #DoubleDurch (#CVBV) and "#licensing" loopholes to bleed EU-based subsidiaries dry of taxable #profits!

But starting from the premise that "It must be part of a cunning plan!" and then present the findings as "I proved that it is a part of a cunning plan!" is the sort of thing that people normally do to prop themselves up to dictators. Ironically, some of them, such as Stalin, have clearly worked hard to keep people trying to figure out their "cunning plans" guessing.
