I usually don't want to kick a dead horse, but since it, as well as Trump, was a Kremlin operation I'll make an exception and point out that Brexit also ended the reputation of predictability that London had built up over centuries of international trading too. #BREXIT

Berlin building boom on the horizon?

Germany's incoming coalition government has announced plans to boost housing construction to help ease the desperate shortage of affordable homes. That's good news for those seeking to build in the capital Berlin.

It seems to be widely accepted at the moment that making steel in the UK is not profitable, and so the government need to step in if we decide that making steel is important to our national security.

But other countries can make steel profitably.

I've not heard #Brexit mentioned in this context, but it has got me wondering if there is a Brexit angle to all this.

Anyone know why the UK seems to be unusual in being unable to turn a profit from making steel?

#BritishSteel

Are we supposed to celebrate?

UK morning show cornflakes announce "the rate of inflation has slowed down to 2.6%" Adding for those not good at arithmetic- "It still means that prices are rising, but not as fast as before"

I guess the truth would put you off your toast.

The cost of living has doubled and now the economy has stagnated. If you are lucky enough to be still employed, don't even think of asking for a raise because a tax trap will eat it.

No, we are supposed to blame it on the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse #putin #covid #tories

Nobody is allowed to mention the fourth - #Brexit

@CStamp @Nonilex Not my #brexit

Now that I think about it, it's a variation of Niemöller's famous quote.

Anyway, many will be surprised, how socially conservative many immigrants are.

@ChrisMayLA6 Fair point but in your written constitution what standing would the Law Lords have. & Q2 I know the #brexit swerve was under Henryxiii powers, I assume your written constitution would dump that crock of shite.

@philpem @geerlingguy true, true...

We still don't see people violently demand to #undo the #Brexit for that matter...
