It’s hard to overstate how incredibly reckless and destabilizing an idea this is: it’s bad enough knowing that there are thousands of weapons half a world away that can reach targets in under an hour, not imagine those same weapons constantly orbiting over your head, with time to target reduced to mere minutes.

Not to mention the risk of accidents or questions like how to de-orbit them, or the possibility of nuclear space junk (not so) randomly landing around the world, or what happens in the event of a Kessler cascade.
