@Dianora And I'm shure #Canada is more able and willing to align it's #standards to the #EU (which is an upgrade) than the EU would even consider #downgrading to #ChlorinatedChicken & #YellowNumber5 standards that were already bad 50 years ago!

Maybe the EU could rebrand to like #LeagueOfFreeNations or #UnionOfFreeNations and define itself by common #Values beyond #economy, like #HumanRights and #CivilRights!

  • Something the #USA is illegally attacking even beyond it's borders which is as much of a violation of diplomatic conduct as an ambassador personally insulting the head of a government.

I wounder when #ALDI stops branding their #Toast as "#AMERICAN" because it's definitely not #USian / #USA - Style, as it's way too healthy and doesn't have #HighFructoseCornSyrup or #YellowNumber5 in it!

Mind you #Germany has actual #bread #culture and that #AldiToast is considered "bare minimum slop" and not even proper bread by anyone with taste.

In my Canadian grocery store, every sign in the produce dept. shows place of origin. Local potatoes: gone. US potatoes: sitting there. Mexico tomatoes: gone. US tomatoes: sitting there. Local apples: gone. US apples: sitting there. Etc. Etc. Same in cheese dept. and meat dept. and at pet store. On a similar note: friend cancelled her trip to Las Vegas to go to Vancouver, instead. I’m proud of us. That man shit the bed, he really did.
