🇬🇧 After many discussions, I’ve decided to start including products from the UK in European Alternatives.
The first UK product on European Alternatives is Mojeek — an independent search engine, run by a small team committed to privacy and ethical search.
They are also on Mastodon: @Mojeek

We’ve reached out to everyone who used the chat bubble to let them know this is now the official way to suggest content – and we're already looking at over 300 new product suggestions! 🚀 It’ll take some time to review everything, but this update makes the process way more efficient in the long run.

Big news! 😊 After a month-long soft launch, I’m proud to share our new Content Suggestion Tool – the improved way to propose edits, new products, and even vote on new categories. While the process is more structured (and yes, slower), it’s a necessary step to manage the high volume of suggestions.

A quick update: Work on the feature that will make it possible to suggest changes is in full swing, but will still take a while. Until then, I will have to focus on this in the limited time available and unfortunately cannot reply to the vast majority of messages with suggestions.
The newspaper "DerStandard" published an interview with me yesterday about European Alternatives. As this is the newspaper I read every day, I am particularly proud of it and wanted to share it with you. Unfortunately the article is only in German.

I'm thinking about adding an account feature and making it possible to edit and add products that I only have to approve. Until then, I'll add a priority system in the chat tool where corrections will be prioritized. I'll post more about that in the coming days.
With this insane increase in traffic, came a lot of suggestions for the site in the chat, per email and on social media. As happy as I'm about all the suggestions, I just don't have the resources to handle this amount of messages. Since I understand that the project is now more important then ever, I'll try to build a new way to contribute to the site in a more streamlined way.
📈 Since Trump was elected as the president of the USA, many people are rightfully looking for alternatives to US tech companies. The last two months, European Alternatives had an unbelievable increase in traffic, which makes me really happy. In light of that, I'll open up the analytics data of European Alternatives:
