Hi there! I'm Laurie, a #theatremaker based in the Midlands. I'm building up my portfolio after studying #theatre at uni of leeds. Also a Spotlight #actor available for hire!

In the past year, I've been working on an original solo show about #transitioning during lockdown, adapted from Zoom to stage. Did a great run at #EdFringe !

I am also fascinated by #narrativedesign, #generative storytelling, #improv, choice-based story, etc. and so occasionally make #textadventures !

when i see those words together without a space or hyphen, it feels magical. like a visceral spell an artist can conjure to create new worlds on a stage filled with hope, love, joy, and understanding. grateful for them.

I'm here, I think? Sharing an #Introduction if you're here too. I'm an Ass't Prof of #Theatre and also a deviser, director, and dramaturg. I work on performing objects and object-oriented ontology in conjunction with #Shakespeare.

I'm interested in connecting professionally about #pedagogy (in-person and online) #devisedtheatre #shakespeare. I'm also an avid #homecook and a furmama to Haggis (#dogsofmastodon) and Arthur (#catsofmastodon). I also produce a podcast with my dramaturgy students called Writ in the Margins.
