time for a more proper intro

i'm ezra, aka bauhinia, aka blakeana_00. i'm a gay trans man (scary and evil). not new to fediverse at all, in fact ive been here for 3 years already. not new to wafrn either i just purged my posts

i make art and sometimes contribute to wafrn with localization or css themes.

outside of that i am just a critter living my life. mostly playing vidya games and starting to collect games in their physical form, especially if i played them before.

i made neoseals, neocubes, neorats, neoghosts and perhaps some niche neocat variants you may or may not have used (neocat animals being some of them)

i like collecting, as i collect hardware, games and plushies. though my housing situation is wack, i do not have most of that with me right now so cannot really share.

as for my art, i post some examples below.
i would also say i have a website but its a very heavy wip with almost no content, so there is no use of doing that for now.

i also work on Orchid, a project dedicated to prevention of child sexual abuse in online spaces, influenced by past experiences with such as a witness and victim

oh, and i live in the netherlands and love train rides a lot.

Here is a introduction (or an attempt). My name is John, I'm a Brazilian and I came to Mastodon as an alternative to social network X. I like anime, emulation, games (although I've barely finished most of them), manga and other nerdy stuff. I'm passionate about FOSS software, I listen to a lot of rock (by the way, my favorite bands at the moment are Limp Bizkit and Buckethead) and I think that's it. Obligatory #introduction post.

I'd previously tried Mastodon and had a poor experience, tried Bluesky and didn't like it any better. Trying again after a hiatus.

I'm a tired old techie with a lot of cats and a deep disgust of generative AI. I'm anticapitalist, antifascist, and unfortunately live in the Fascist States of America.

Love board games and TTRPGs, although I'm a bit of hermit so mostly just play board games with my partner. Maybe someday I'll find an opportunity to use the stacks of TTRPG books I hoard.

Sci-fi, fantasy, and horror fan. Favorites include Star Trek, The Expanse, Alien, anything with zombies, and bad 80's/90's straight to VHS flicks. Also a sucker for medical dramas and survivalist reality TV.
