On New Year's Eve 2023/4, this young cat jumped into my car while I was taking pictures around the Circle K, just before midnight. The temp was well below-freezing.

Many calls and texts later, a friend agreed to take kitty in and came to pick them up. Here, we're waiting in the Fiat, heat on, for their rescuer to arrive.

Later, I learned Kitty was a foster fail for the friend who already had many, many cats. ❤️

Formed in Newcastle, England in 1979, Atomkraft were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, blending speed metal intensity with themes of future, space, war, and metal. Founded by bassist/vocalist Tony “Demolition” Dolan, the band’s classic lineup included guitarist Rob Mathew and drummer Ged Wolf. Signed to Neat Records, they released the cult album “Future Warriors” (1985) and EPs “Queen of Death” (1986) and “Conductors of Noize” (1987) before disbanding in 1988. Atomkraft reformed in 2005, issuing the Cold Sweat EP (2011) and performing at NWOBHM festivals until 2015. Their name, taken from the German word for “nuclear power,” reflects their raw “Total Metal” ethos and enduring underground legacy.

The way last.fm prioritises individual songs over time spent listening doesn't really do it for me, so I spreadsheeted my way out of it, tracking the amount of time spent listening to each song / album / artist.

Total listen time was 99,865 minutes, across 783 artists, 1,237 albums, and 11,164 different songs.
