I just got a call from a gastroenterologist office. Mom is booked for follow up endoscopy on April 8th at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. I requested that staff who will be dealing with us at Mom's appointment to be masked up. The MOA said that will be respected. I said - Thanks, because I already lost one parent to covid & not OK losing another when it can be prevented if people masked up more. She then said that she understood because her Dad got really sick "when covid was around". I stopped her before she could finish & said - #Covid never stopped & people are still dying & becoming disabled for life from it. She didn't know how to respond for a moment - awkward pause - before agreeing, yeah - it never stopped 🙄

Anyways - it's booked & they better be masked up when we get there. 😷

I'm at VGH for first 3 hours of work & can't wait to leave. I dislike work days that involve being in any #hospital because of all the unmasked plague spreaders in that #medical workplace environment.

Compliments from unmasked folks, praising me for being cautious & taking excellent care for my Mom aren't considered compliments to me. I consider them as passive aggressive guilt-ridden confessions from unmasked folks, who aren't taking good care of themselves nor anyone in their own family.

I miss Dad very much 😢 ❤️ He's been gone for over 2 years now.
I remember this day well. It was an excellent family bonding day. We had a nice dinner after a short walk together. 3 months after this photo was taken, Dad had to go to ER for a leg muscles issue. He was infected with covid by unmasked hospital staff. It happened shortly after our eugenics government removed public masking mandates. Dad ended up dying from covid related cardiac arrest, the following Summer.

I have never forgiven the #BCgovernment or #unmasked #hospital staff for killing my Dad. We had him fully protected with home #caregiving for years. It took less than 2 days in hospital for him to get #covid.

Please #WearAMask. Please don't let my Dad & others who died from getting covid from unmasked people, to be forgotten. It could be you or your family members, next. Covid doesn't care if you believe in it or not - it will end up wrecking your life, one way or another.

this is an interractive workshop with a powerpoint that runs about 1 hour and 15 minutes. It helps me when people have their cameras on or are at least active in the chat! it's over zoom so captions are available, and I'll try to speak slowly so they're more accurate. this is not recorded (please do not record). this is a FREE workshop. slides and notes will be sent after.

the host is...(I am...) an anarchist still getting used to supporting public health efforts without the state; former contact tracer; used to organize mask-required DIY shows at a local community space; built a website with studies and resources about covid mitigations; started a lending library with mainly homemade CR boxes/air purifiers and far-UVC.

attendees might be... organizers who host regular in-person meetings, band members, bartenders, venue workers, film enthusiasts, craft fair hosts, teachers, churchgoers, shop owners, or just any person who wants to gather more safely with friends and family!

Not a single political party in BC cares about #CovidSafety. All of them have opted to go along with #eugenics #PublicHealth policies. Further marginalizing people like me, my Mom, every disabled person, every elderly person, every child & every cautious citizen who is still trying to prevent getting sick from #covid & other #AirborneIllnesses. We have been abandoned by every single politician in BC & federally too. This is government folks doing passive #dehumanization of us.
