Finished #reading Thein's #speculativeFiction and #historicalfiction offering. Moving back and forward through time, migrations, exile, climate breakdown, authoritarianism, 3 ghostly characters or fellow voyagers knit the worlds and times together - Du Fu, 7th century Chinese poet, 14th Dutch-Jewish philosopher Baruch Spinoza, and the 20th century German political theorist Hannah Arendt. But it is Thein's smart writing, philosophical inquiry that kept this reader engaged.
