1023. Who would you personally trust the most out of your cast of characters?

I know I’ve mentioned Nathan, my protagonist, is a bit of a rogue and that his partner, Vicky, can be trigger-happy when it comes to protecting him but together they make a great team who are always looking out for their friends and are devoted to maintaining the magical community’s anonymity.

So, I reckon they're mostly trustworthy.

#onthisday

I know it’s Towel Day today but bear with me, I enjoy alluding to works in the same genre and add playful references to some of the common tropes found in fantasy fiction, which I hope will be appreciated by the more knowledgeable reader.

Take towel, replace with trowel, it’s a no brainer.

One of my characters has the unusual job title of Emergency Response Archaeologist (don’t ask, it’s complicated).

She’s proud of the fact that she always knows where her trowel is, as it marks her out as an archaeologist to be reckoned with.

#novel #horror structurally I like that it keeps being just a collection of documents to the very end, with no intrusion from the narrator, and though the last chapters do explain a fair bit there is no one sentence full explanation so you end up with the need to fit everything together yourself; some of the chapters do seem honestly to have almost no connection to the rest but I guess that is where you need to put in the work
ultimately, rather than having a "plot" per se you are piercing together a truth about the world which is horrific (in this sense it reminds me a bit of 6)
finished Dakudadeira. my opinion on the book changed frequently but ultimately I liked it a fair bit. though it is kind of clumsy; in chapters with longer narrations that narration is cringe more than not. but it does have some creepy stuff, some gross stuff (complimentary?), and beware that the last part has an extremely gory sequence, to the point that it got deleted from kakuyomu half a day after being posted lol. so you actually need to get the book to get the full version, which I guess it is pretty convenient for the author, funny that (I joke, I don't believe that the author did that intentionally)

I want to write an #erotic #novel set in the #medieval period. I imagine it would be both sexy and hilarious.
