Sangre fría - BookWyrm

Jesse Ortega es asesinado en un callejón el día de su cumpleaños. Hasta ahí solo sería una noticia más en el periódico. El problema es que no ha muerto. Convertido en vampiro, Jesse acaba en el Sugar Rush, una curiosa heladería que sirve de refugio a aquellos de su especie que no quieren matar. Pero cuando aparece un cadáver desangrado y todas las pistas apuntan hacia él, la confianza en sus nuevos camaradas empieza a tambalearse. Y la llegada de un vampiro incivilizado a la ciudad solo le pone las cosas más difíciles. Acompañado por Lena, Julian, Gina y Dominic, Jesse tendrá que aprender a valerse por sí mismo como vampiro y limpiar su nombre… o unirse a la salvaje revolución.

Letzte Woche habe ich die #Charakterillustration von Tamás ja schon auf #steady vorgestellt, aber ihr müsst nicht mehr lange warten ;). Hier habe ich einen kleinen Ausschnitt mitgebracht, am Freitag zeige ich das Porträt im Ganzen 😍. Ich bin so glücklich mit den Illus. Der Künstler ist Drew Black. Bisher ist er nur auf Instagram, arbeitet aber an seiner Website.

Chroniques du Gard #50 (et dernière)

Cinquantième et dernière chronique gardoise, il faut savoir arrêter avant la lassitude. À force d’habitude, je finissais par chercher quelle image saisir au vif et je ne prends plus le même plaisir chaque semaine à narrer au vent mes sorties matinales. Je trouverai d’autres moyens de mettre en valeur la beauté des paysages qui ne cessent de m’émerveiller au quotidien. Et je termine avec ces deux vers d’Aragon que vous pourrez déclamer lors de vos échauffourées avec un automobiliste imprudent :
« Vie ô paisible automobile
et le joyeux péril de courir au devant »

I love @bookwyrm #BookWyrm
It's not perfect, but it's good enough, and the community there is full of lovely people who are for the most part genuinely interested in sharing their love of #books and helping each other find something worthwhile to read.

The occasional communal gushing around especially excellent #books is also quite nice.

And it's one of the only social reading spaces where I feel like I can actually trust the #reviews, whether positive, negative, or neutral. For that matter, it's one of the few places online outside of dedicated book review blogs which actually contains a high proportion of thoughtful reviews.

Bald kann ich nichts mehr für dieses #Manuskript tun ♥️. Einmal #lesen noch, dann geht es in den #Buchsatz.
Ich schreibe schon seit der Grundschule, aber noch nie bin ich so weit gekommen. Es fühlt sich ungewohnt an, aber auch sehr, serh gut 🥰.
