BTW I'd love for a lawyer to weigh in on this, because as far as I can tell, Fender is trying to claw back the Strat body shape from public domain - if you think they won't use any success at this in Europe to go to US courts, you're crazy.

I can't find anything about reverting public domain but it seems it should be EXTREMELY illegal 😬 if they do try, the super-corrupt US courts might let them & then it will basically be game over for creative works; we'll drown in troll lawsuits.
