It's a measure of ableism that I'm pretty sure this audio description was put here as a "joke". (You know...like saying "this is my emotional support beer" is a joke ableist folks make.)
The reality is that public access should mean access...which means there should be a second channel where audio description of the broadcast is the norm. For all broadcasting hours.

Because if there is a need to improve, you're not already perfect and not being perfect means your ability in a system that values you based on ability devalues you.
Many people fear(usually without directly admitting it), that without ableism, we would lack an incentive to work on our capabilities.
But my impression is, that it just stunts peoples growth "beyond the average", "beyond the mediocre".
Ableism is an incentive, a pull towards mediocrity.

@ai6yr This is just another example of what I've said in the face of AI propaganda that tries to claim that if you're anti-AI, you're anti-accessibility.
If tech cared about accessibility that much, you'd see it in their workplaces, their websites, their products, etc. The fact that people want AI to do it shows they care so little about designing and working accessibly that they want to outsource it to an automaton.

Accessibility allows more people to engage with the ideas you are sharing here which I want, as a vegan I want more people to be engaging with this but you need to include alt text so that we're not just leaving behind people because of their disability
Not everyone comes from a healthy family or is still a member of one.
Rhetoric that is constantly using "families" or "working families" in place of "people" in issues that are not family-only or working-family- only issues are letting fascists frame the political rhetoric.
