Nasty Person: "Wow, that's a bad faith reading."

That is called DARVO. Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. You make a bad faith reading, get given back what you gave, and you accuse others of bad faith readings as if these had occurred in a vacuum.

You're not anti-AI. You're not even advocating for anything. You're just an abuser, Cass. You're abuser, and that's why you're miserable. That's why you feel the need to attack people you don't know.

And that's why you can't help but lose. I'll pity you until you decide to be more than just another screaming animal aping at being human.

This post is not meant for its addressee. Instead, it's meant to show the rest of the community how not to behave online in order to avoid being a caricature of virtue signaling brutes that ape being on the left while acting very much like our enemies on the right do.

To everyone, because they are beasts who live only to hurt others. Justice is not their purpose; their purpose is to use justice as a tool to harm those they feel victimized by. And how is that any different from Neo-Nazis, ICE, and MAGA?

Not at all different. That's the answer.

The prescriptive is obvious to anyone with a brain and a heart that are both in relatively good working order. For the rest of you, (using your own narcissism-tainted language) please consider that you are not the main character of the universe, and no one owes you validation for your shitty behavior, thanks.

Why I Reported Online Hate Speech: A Lesson in Boundaries

I recently shared a factual screenshot of AI-generated information on Mastodon. Someone attacked me personally for using AI, creating a thread of insults.

I did not engage. I reported the user and blocked them.

My Fedi profile is a Giving Container. I have zero tolerance for hate speech or personal attacks. Protecting my peace and maintaining a professional environment is more important than winning an argument.

Hurt people hurt people, but that does not mean I have to accept their hurt in my space.

Technology changes fast, but community standards change slowly. We must uphold them.
