If you haven't checked out @owncast lately, there's a directory now and the live options have greatly expanded recently (or at least it seems so to me)

Maybe the directory just makes it easier to find the channels.

Just an observation of my own habits.

When I follow new people, I suddenly see a lot more boosts. I use those to find more people to follow. Eventually I get tired of the boosts of the people I didn't follow and I hide boosts from the new follows.

It almost seems like a rude thing to do. I'm just focusing my attention.

I unfollow people pretty coldly, too. If it's been several weeks I re-evaluate whether they are responsive to replies and interactions, or if they mostly post about topics I'm not interested in.

We don't have an algorithm helping us to filter out noise. Have to prune your home feed occasionally, like a bonsai.

I'm setting up a Mastodon account for an academic society I'm on the board for (it's https://norrn.no/). What's the best way of setting it up so that more than one person can access it? My personal account is on #FediScience, but that has to be registered to an academic email. Perhaps @FediTips knows?

So (tip of our vet) I'm cycling through a set of water bottles in the freezer (filled 50%), and it looks like he's got the idea, and is resting next to them

(Don't use regular ice packs with these chewy animals 😉)
