Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.
I am looking foward to exchange and get inspired by your work.

Since some of you wanted to know more about my research:
feel free to have a look at my last publication on movement coordination in people with low-back pain (https://doi.org/10.3389/fspor.2025.1524489). We measured #kinematics in 306 adults and made the whole data set and code publicly available (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14050785).

@phyphox Congratulations! Great work. I often recommend phyphox in my lectures on methods in #biomechanics and #movementscience.

Hi Fediverse,

I am new here and would like to give a short #introduction.
I am currently doing my #PhD in #biomechanics at the #HUBerlin where I focus on motor control of the trunk in the presence of low-back pain. As part of an interdisciplinary research team around the #CharitéBerlin our group is adressing #mechanics, #morphology and #motion of the spine.
I am interested in #rstats, #Linux, #OpenScience, #FAIRData and #FreeSoftware.

During our annual #GirlsDay, we presented the work sector #movementscience to girls interested in this field. By participating in small #experiments and learning about their #scientific foundations, the girls got an exciting insight into #sportscience in the #OpenLab.
Our brains underestimate our wrist’s true flexibility, study finds

People consistently underestimate their wrists' range of motion. This bias, likely an evolutionary safeguard against injury, prioritizes safety over precision in the brain’s internal representation of the body’s movement capabilities.
