The FutuRSI project is developing a concept for a German research software institution.
The impulse paper (10.5281/zenodo.17047067) provides an overview of the current state of the German research software ecosystem and aims at promoting the cultural change in the handling of research software.

Transparency brings risks: data misuse, exploitation of early-career researchers, predatory publishing. In our panel "The Dark Side of Open Science", Ulrike Felt, Paloma Marín-Arraiza, Barbara Schober, Toma Susi, and moderator Ben McLeish will debate how to protect ethics in openness. #OpenScience #osfestival2025

Code, data, config files, etc. all must be shared in order to describe computational methods with sufficient detail.

Best practices in Open Science: Federico Pianzola on publishing with MIT’s Direct to Open programme

University of Groningen
@osfair @OpenAIRE but I must admit that my motivation was to connect with those researchers who actually are interested in true #OpenScience, especially those who don't buy the conventional wisdom that has thus far failed to yield any any real Innovations in #physics in 50+ years; but which has still kept #CERN funded decades after any real motivation for its continued existence.
@osfair @OpenAIRE oh yeah let me revise that. I was explicitly told by one of the organizers that I would not be welcome to the "#OpenScience" Fair after this person specifically looked up my information (which has been critical of the wastefulness of the host institution #CERN)

Hi data analyists from Mainz,

We present a survey that explores how researchers approach computational reproducibility, especially when working with HPC and cloud infrastructure. The goal is to better understand current practices, challenges, and needs around reproducible research workflows. One of our community members co-organizes this survey ( @rupdecat ).

This is the survey link:

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes. It is anonymous and entirely voluntary. The results will be published in a research paper and also contribute to shaping best practices and training resources that support reproducible science.

The survey is open until September 30st, 2025.

Your time and input are greatly appreciated in advancing more reproducible and reliable computational research.

Boosts are welcome - if you have a local mailing list address to share with me, please send a private message.
