The ceremony was attended by Sheikh-ul-Hadith Sayed Ahmad Bahramand, Director of the ARCS Marastoons; Mullah Mohammad Hanif Khalid, head of the Northern Zone; representatives of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC); and several staff members.

The Director of Marastoons stated, “This center will play an important role in supporting women and children without guardians, as well as in the treatment and care of people with mental health conditions, and efforts will be made to provide the necessary facilities for those served.”

He also thanked the IFRC for their support in providing vocational training to the Marastoon beneficiaries.

The head of the Northern Zone said that the total cost of rebuilding this facility was $130,000. He added that the Marastoon will provide a safe and supportive environment for women, children, and people with mental health conditions.

This Marastoon is being handed over at a time when many families in the region require such services.

The #ARCS, with support from the #IFRC, distributed 2.1 million Afghanis to 200 internally displaced families in Surobi District, Paktika Province.

The #aid was provided to meet the families’ basic needs and as part of #humanitarian_assistance, with each family receiving 10,500 Afghanis.

As a neutral and humanitarian organization, the ARCS strives to provide timely assistance to people affected by #disasters.

Non-Food Items Distributed to 470 #Vulnerable and Repatriated Families in #Kabul

The #ARCS, with support from the #IFRC, provided non-food items to 470 vulnerable, impoverished, and #repatriated families in various central districts and Paghman District of Kabul Province.

Each family received three aid packages, which included clothing for children, men, and women, as well as underwear, gloves, socks, scarves, shoes, and other essential items.

In line with its #fundamental_principles, the ARCS considers supporting vulnerable and repatriated individuals a core and operational priority.

#ARCS Leadership Holds Joint Iftar with #International_Partners

The ARCS hosted an #iftar in #Kabul last evening for its international partners, following Afghan traditions of hospitality, and held a joint gathering.

The gathering was attended by Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS; Vice President Hafiz Azizur Rahman; Under-Secretary Generals; heads of the central departments; advisors to the leadership; and representatives from international partners, including the #ICRC, #IFRC, the #Qatar and #Turkish Red Crescents, and the #Danish and #Norwegian Red Cross Societies.

During the gathering, Mr. Delawar commended the collaboration of ARCS partners over the past few years in responding to #natural and man-made disasters. He said, “The support of international aid organizations has played an important role in assisting people in need.”

He added, “#Afghanistan currently faces challenges, including natural disasters, poverty, and widespread #humanitarian_needs. The ARCS strives, in coordination with its international partners, to provide timely assistance to affected and vulnerable people across the country.”

Representatives from international partner organizations also praised the ARCS for its work. They stated, “The ARCS has stood by those in need, including vulnerable, female-headed, and disaster-affected families, during the country’s most difficult times.”

They emphasized that they will continue their humanitarian assistance and #cooperation to ensure that timely and effective support reaches people during natural disasters and emergencies.

The meeting included detailed discussions on how to provide emergency assistance, temporary shelter, healthcare services, and food supplies to returning migrants.

Both sides emphasized that they will strengthen joint efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of migrants and increase coordination in attracting aid.
