Stava camminando quando è stata travolta da un grosso pino abbattuto dal forte vento. È morta così una ragazzina di 12 anni a Bisceglie, nel Barese. Si tratta della seconda vittima per il maltempo in Puglia nel giro di qualche ora. Lunedì mattina, infatti, il forte vento ha anche divelto un palo della luce che ha colpito e ucciso un operaio a Taranto mentre stava lavorando su una gru nei pressi del cimitero di San Brunone.
La vittima si chiamava Alicia Amoruso e stava passeggiando in via Sergio Cosmai quando l’albero l’ha schiacciata. Inutili i soccorsi del 118 che l’hanno portata d’urgenza in ospedale. Il suo cuore ha smesso di battere durante il trasporto in ambulanza.
Un altro operaio di 64 anni è rimasto ferito gravemente a Margherita di Savoia mentre lavorava in un’azienda agricola. L’uomo è stato colpito da alcuni cassoni carichi di frutta caduti da 5 metri di altezza sempre a causa del vento. Il 64enne ha riportato un trauma cranico e una frattura cervicale ma è tenuto sotto controllo al policlinico Riuniti di Foggia.
I sindaci di Bari e Foggia hanno firmato ordinanze di chiusura di alcuni luoghi pubblici e intanto si registrato numerosi disagi anche negli aeroporti della regione, con molti voli dirottati verso altri scali.
A causa del maltempo diversi voli in arrivo all’aeroporto ‘Karol Wojtyla’ di Bari sono stati dirottati su Roma e Brindisi-Salento. Si tratta di una dozzina di aerei sia nazionali che internazionali. Stando al bollettino meteo diramato dalla Protezione civile regionale la situazione è destinata a peggiorare nel corso della giornata. A Bari e Foggia, dove le raffiche di vento hanno raggiunto i 70 chilometri orari, i sindaci hanno firmato ordinanze di chiusura di parchi, giardini e cimiteri.

A 12-year-old girl died after being struck by a large pine tree uprooted by strong winds while walking in Bisceglie, in the Bari region. This is the second victim of the bad weather in Puglia within a few hours. On Monday morning, the strong wind also toppled a power pole which struck and killed a construction worker in Taranto while working on a crane near the San Brunone cemetery.
The victim was named Alicia Amoruso and was walking on via Sergio Cosmai when the tree crushed her. Paramedics were useless, transporting her urgently to the hospital where her heart stopped during the ambulance journey.
Another 64-year-old construction worker was seriously injured in Margherita di Savoia while working on an agricultural company. The man was struck by several crates loaded with fruit that fell from a height of 5 meters due to the wind. The 64-year-old suffered a head trauma and a cervical fracture but is under observation at the Riuniti Polyclinic in Foggia.
The mayors of Bari and Foggia issued orders to close some public places, and numerous disruptions were also registered at the region’s airports, with many flights diverted to other destinations.
Due to the bad weather, a dozen domestic and international aircraft arriving at Bari’s ‘Karol Wojtyla’ Airport were diverted to Rome and Brindisi-Salento. The regional Civil Protection bulletin indicates the situation is expected to worsen throughout the day. In Bari and Foggia, where wind gusts reached 70 kilometers per hour, the mayors ordered the closure of parks, gardens, and cemeteries.

Il Tempo: Si è insediato l'Osservatorio permanente sulle persone scomparse
Alla presenza di Massimiliano Maselli (Assessore all'Inclusione sociale e servizi alla persona della Regione Lazio) si è insediato l'Osservatorio permanente sulle persone scomparse nel Lazio presieduto dal Prefetto Antonio D'Acunto. «L'istituzione di un Osservatorio permanente sulle persone scomparse – dichiara Maselli – intende rafforzare il contrasto del fenomeno della scomparsa di persone, anche attraverso azioni preventive di promozione culturale, formativa e informativa, nonché interventi di assistenza di tipo materiale e psicologica per le famiglie delle persone scomparse. L'Osservatorio potrà offrire una spinta propulsiva per diffondere la conoscenza del fenomeno in tutta la sua poliedricità, attraverso la sinergia non solo tra diverse strutture dell'Amministrazione regionale, ma anche tra queste e ulteriori istituzioni - quali la Prefettura, la Protezione Civile e le Forze dell'Ordine - con le quali potranno essere stipulati appositi protocolli d'intesa».
Prosegue Maselli: «La composizione dell'Osservatorio, incardinato presso l'Assessorato competente in materia di politiche sociali, rispecchia la trasversalità del fenomeno a diverse politiche regionali, nonché l'intento di renderlo luogo di coinvolgimento delle associazioni operanti in materia presenti sul territorio. È, inoltre, aperto alla partecipazione di ulteriori esperti il cui apporto sia ritenuto utile all'adempimento dei compiti dell'organismo. Voglio formulare i migliori auguri di buon lavoro al Presidente Antonio D'Acunto e a tutti gli altri componenti». L'Osservatorio è stato istituito dalla legge regionale 27 febbraio 2020 n. 1, art. 22, commi 90-92 e nasce per fare rete tra le associazioni specifiche coinvolte a diverso titolo, oltre che per trovare metodologie comuni di intervento, supportare le famiglie e offrire collaborazione agli inquirenti.

In the presence of Massimiliano Maselli (Councillor for Social Inclusion and Services to Persons of the Region of Lazio), the Permanent Observatory on Missing Persons in Lazio, chaired by Prefect Antonio D’Acunto, was inaugurated. “The establishment of a Permanent Observatory on Missing Persons – Maselli stated – aims to strengthen the fight against the phenomenon of disappearance of people, also through preventive actions promoting cultural, educational, and informative activities, as well as material and psychological assistance for the families of missing persons. The Observatory can provide a driving force to disseminate knowledge of the phenomenon in all its complexity, through the synergy not only between various regional administration structures, but also between these and other institutions – such as the Prefecture, Civil Protection, and Law Enforcement Agencies – with which specific agreements can be established.”
Maselli continued: “The composition of the Observatory, based within the Department responsible for social policies, reflects the transversal nature of the phenomenon across various regional policies, as well as the intention to make it a place for the involvement of associations operating in this area on the territory. It is also open to the participation of further experts whose contribution is considered useful to the fulfillment of the Observatory’s tasks. I extend my best wishes for success to Chairman Antonio D’Acunto and all other members.” The Observatory was established by Regional Law 27 February 2020 n. 1, art. 22, paragraphs 90-92 and was created to network among the specific associations involved to varying degrees, as well as to find common intervention methodologies, support families, and offer collaboration to investigators.

Il Fatto Quotidiano: Frana in Molise: una donna segue il navigatore e rimane bloccata in campagna. Salvata dalla Protezione Civile
Il navigatore non aveva messo in conto la frana di Petacciato che ha bloccato nei giorni scorsi il centro-sud. Una donna fidandosi della strada indicata sul Gps è finita nelle campagne di Frosolone, in provincia di Isernia, dove però gli smottamenti le hanno impedito di proseguire o tornare indietro. A quel punto, rimasta bloccata, è stata salvata dalla Protezione Civile.
La donna era partita da Lanciano e stava andando a Bari. Un percorso però più accidentato del previsto a causa delle recenti frane che hanno interrotto alcuni tratti dell’autostrada A14 tra San Salvo, Termoli e Petacciato. La signora ha quindi preso delle deviazioni in direzione di Vasto e poi verso l’asse Isernia-Campobasso, una delle zone più colpite dal maltempo.
Rimasta bloccata in una strada chiusa da una frana ha chiamato il marito che, dopo la chiamata ai vigili del fuoco, ha provato a raggiungere il luogo. Proprio vicino all’arrivo ha incontrato alcuni volontari della locale Protezione Civile al lavoro per gli smottamenti nella zona. A quel punto sono iniziate le ricerche fino a che la donna è stata individuata e tratta in salvo.

The navigator hadn't accounted for the landslide in Petacciato which blocked the center-south in recent days. A woman, trusting the road indicated by the GPS, ended up in the countryside of Frosolone, in the province of Isernia, where however the landslides prevented her from continuing or returning. At that point, stranded, she was rescued by the Civil Protection.
The woman had left from Lanciano and was going to Bari. A route however more accident-prone than expected due to the recent landslides which had interrupted some sections of the A14 motorway between San Salvo, Termoli and Petacciato. The lady therefore took detours towards Vasto and then towards the Isernia-Campobasso axis, one of the areas most affected by the bad weather.
Stranded in a road closed by a landslide, she called her husband who, after the call to the fire department, tried to reach the location. Right near the arrival, she met some volunteers from the local Civil Protection working on the landslides in the area. At that point, searches began until the woman was located and rescued.
