The #emergency_rescue and mobile health teams of the #ARCS promptly reached the affected area in Samkani District, Paktia Province, following the recent airstrike that resulted in numerous civilian deaths and injuries.

The teams provided first aid to the wounded, assisted in the #evacuation and transportation of the injured and those who lost their lives, and delivered essential medicines.

#Kabul: One-Day Workshop Held for Staff on Lessons Learned from the Eastern Zone #Earthquake Response

A one-day workshop on the lessons learned from the humanitarian response to the Eastern Zone earthquake was held at the Central Headquarters of #ARCS for 30 staff members from the PEMR Unit, the Youth and Volunteers, Disaster Management, and Health Departments, as well as the #Nangarhar, #Kunar and #Laghman provincial branches of the Eastern Zone.

The workshop, financially supported by the #IFRC, aimed to review the humanitarian operations carried out during the earthquake response, share key experiences, and #strengthen preparedness and effective response to future potential disasters.

During the workshop, participants were provided with the #assessment of the achievements, strengths and operational challenges encountered while delivering #humanitarian_assistance to earthquake-affected families. Comprehensive discussions were held and views were exchanged on strengthening coordination and sharing experiences for future #emergency_responses.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants shared their experiences, perspectives and recommendations, #emphasizing the importance of continued joint efforts to further strengthen rapid, coordinated and effective emergency response.

The findings and recommendations of the workshop are expected to contribute to more effective emergency operations management, enhanced preparedness and improved #quality of humanitarian services provided by ARCS.

#Kabul: Three-Day Training Workshop Launched for #First_Aid_Trainers

The Health Department of #ARCS launched a three-day training workshop for first aid trainers at the central headquarters.

The #workshop, financially supported by the ICRC, is attended by 16 first aid trainers from the #country’s seven regional zones.

Throughout the workshop, #participants will receive both theoretical and practical instruction on first aid, the management of unconscious casualties, bleeding control, the #treatment of wounds, fractures and burns, the safe transportation of injured persons, and effective response during #emergency_situations.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants are expected to #strengthen their professional first aid competencies and play an even more active role in delivering standardized and effective #health_services across different parts of the country during emergencies.

کارکنان صحی #هلال‌احمر_افغانی طی ۳۰ روز گذشته در ولسوالی‌ها و قریه‌های مختلف ولایت بغلان، به ۴۳۴۰ بیمار خدمات معاینه و توزیع ادویه، پانسمان زخم‌ها، تطبیق واکسین، مشوره‌های مرتبط با سوءتغذیه، ارائه مشوره‌های ضروری صحی قبل و بعد از ولادت و تنظیم خانواده ارائه کرده‌اند.

همچنین، به ۹۸۵۷ #بیمار دیگر در بخش مشوره‌های لازم صحی خدمات ارائه شده است.

#Baghlan: Comprehensive #Health_Services Provided to Thousands of Patients

Medical staff of the #ARCS have provided health services to thousands of patients across various districts and villages of Baghlan Province over the past 30 days. During this period, 4,340 #patients received medical checkups, medications, wound care, vaccinations, malnutrition assessments, as well as essential health consultations related to prenatal and postnatal care and family planning. In addition, 9,857 patients were provided with vital medical consultations.

#نشست_هماهنگی بخاطر تطبیق پروژه چهار‌ساله آب، حفظ‌الصحه و کمک‌های اولیه، با حضور مولوی روح‌الله عبدالسلام، معاون عملیاتی سکرترجنرال #هلال‌احمر_افغانی، داکتر عبدالله عرفان، رئیس خدمات صحی، مسئولین نمایندگی‌های ولایتی #ننگرهار، #کنر و #بغلان و نماینده فدراسیون بین‌المللی جمعیت‌های ملی برای #افغانستان برگزار شد.

در این نشست، معاون عملیاتی سکرترجنرال هلال‌احمر افغانی از حمایت‌ها و همکاری‌های دوامدار فدراسیون بین‌المللی جمعیت‌های ملی قدردانی کرده و گفت که همکاری شرکای بین‌المللی در تطبیق مؤثرتر و گسترش #خدمات_بشردوستانه از اهمیت خاصی برخوردار است.

وی افزود که #پروژه جدید چهار‌ساله آب، حفظ‌الصحه و کمک‌های اولیه، نقش مهمی در #بهبود وضعیت صحی مردم، پیشگیری از بیماری‌ها و تأمین نیازهای اساسی صحی و محیط‌زیستی ایفا خواهد کرد.

سپس رئیس خدمات صحی هلال‌احمر افغانی، معلوماتی را درباره #دستاوردها و تجارب پروژه قبلی در بخش آب، حفظ‌الصحه و کمک‌های اولیه ارائه نموده و گفت که پروژه جدید بر اساس نتایج موفق پروژه قبلی تطبیق خواهد شد تا شمار بیشتری از خانواده‌های #نیازمند را تحت پوشش قرار دهد.

وی بر تداوم هماهنگی میان دفتر مرکزی، نمایندگی‌های ولایتی و فدراسیون بین‌المللی جمعیت‌های ملی به‌منظور تطبیق موفقانه پروژه، دستیابی به اهداف تعیین‌شده و #افزایش مؤثریت خدمات تأکید کرد.

قابل یادآوری است که این پروژه چهار‌ساله با حمایت #صلیب_سرخ_فنلند در ولایت‌های ننگرهار، کنر و بغلان تطبیق می‌شود و هدف آن بهبود دسترسی مردم به خدمات آب، حفظ‌الصحه و کمک‌های اولیه و تقویت وضعیت صحی جوامع آسیب‌پذیر است.

#Kabul: ARCS and IFRC Discuss Implementation of Four-Year #Health_Project

In the presence of Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salam, Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs of the #ARCS, Dr. Abdullah Irfan, Director of Health Services, and heads of ARCS #Nangarhar, #Kunar, and #Baghlan provincial branches, a coordination meeting was held with the representative of #IFRC in #Afghanistan to discuss the implementation of a four-year project on water, sanitation, and first aid.

During the meeting, Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salam thanked the IFRC for its continued support and #cooperation, stating that the assistance of international partners is of particular importance for the effective #implementation and expansion of humanitarian services.

He added that the new four-year project on water, sanitation, and first aid will play an #important role in improving public health conditions, preventing diseases, and addressing basic health and environmental needs.

Dr. Abdullah Irfan provided information on the #achievements and experiences of the previous water, sanitation, and first aid project. He stated that the new project will build on the successful results of the previous initiative, allowing more #vulnerable families to benefit from its services.

He also emphasized the importance of continuous #coordination between the ARCS central headquarters, provincial branches, and the IFRC to ensure successful implementation of the #project, achievement of its objectives, and effectiveness of services.

It is worth noting that this four-year project is funded by the #Finnish_Red_Cross and will be implemented in Nangarhar, Kunar, and Baghlan provinces. Its aim is to improve #public_access to water, sanitation, and first aid services and strengthen the health conditions of vulnerable communities.

#Baghlan: 13 Flood-Affected Families Receive AFN 390,000 in #Cash_Assistance

The #ARCS provided AFN 390,000 in cash assistance to 13 families in Puli Khumri, the provincial capital, and Khinjan District of Baghlan Province who #suffered human and financial losses as a result of the recent floods.

The assistance was provided with the support of the #Red_Cross_Society of #China, with each family receiving AFN 30,000.

The cash assistance was provided to help meet the #flood_affected families’ immediate and basic needs, enabling them to address their essential requirements and reduce the hardships caused by the #disaster.

The ARCS strives to deliver timely assistance to families affected by #natural_disasters and to play an effective role in meeting their urgent needs.
