AGI - In Iran è entrato il primo carico internazionale di aiuti umanitari di emergenza attraverso la frontiera con la Turchia. Si tratta del primo trasferimento transfrontaliero riuscito dall’inizio del conflitto. Lo ha confermato a Ginevra un portavoce della Federazione internazionale della Croce rossa e della Mezzaluna Rossa.
In Iran i primi aiuti umanitari
Il convoglio trasporta 48 tonnellate di aiuti inviati dalla Mezzaluna rossa turca, tra cui tende, coperte e articoli per l’igiene, oltre a duecento kit con forniture avanzate per il trattamento di feriti con traumi.
"Questi set contengono equipaggiamenti essenziali per trattare lesioni gravi e stabilizzare i pazienti, e sono progettati per fornire cure immediate che salvano vite in situazioni critiche", ha spiegato il portavoce Tommaso Della Longa.
Coperte, medicinali e 200 generatori
Il Comitato internazionale della Croce rossa ha inoltre inviato alla Mezzaluna rossa iraniana 171 tonnellate di beni domestici essenziali per coprire i bisogni di 25 mila persone. Il contenuto di cinque camion è stato consegnato ieri, mentre il resto arriverà entro la fine della settimana. L’organizzazione ha anche donato 200 generatori e 100 motopompe acquistati localmente per sostenere le operazioni di soccorso e salvataggio.
La Croce Rossa: "Contesto umanitario molto difficile"
Per la Croce rossa, il successo di questa prima operazione transfrontaliera rappresenta un primo passo per rispondere alle richieste iraniane "in un contesto umanitario molto difficile", caratterizzato da bisogni medici molto elevati. Il portavoce ha inoltre sottolineato il forte impatto psicologico degli attacchi sulla popolazione civile e il lavoro dei volontari della Mezzaluna rossa iraniana, impegnati costantemente nel soccorso tra le macerie, attività durante la quale almeno quattro di loro sono stati uccisi in attacchi successivi.
Distribuzione degli aiuti in Iran
Si tratta del primo aiuto che la Federazione riesce a far entrare nel Paese, dove è diventata il principale fornitore di assistenza d’emergenza nelle sei settimane di guerra con Stati Uniti e Israele.
Il carico ha attraversato la frontiera domenica ed è in arrivo a Teheran, da dove verrà distribuito in base alle necessità dei team di primo soccorso operativi nella capitale e in altre aree del Paese.

Humanitarian Aid in Iran
The convoy carries 48 tons of aid sent by the Turkish Red Crescent, including tents, blankets and hygiene products, as well as two hundred kits with advanced supplies for treating trauma victims with injuries.
“These kits contain essential equipment to treat serious injuries and stabilize patients, and are designed to provide immediate care that saves lives in critical situations,” explained spokesperson Tommaso Della Longa.
Blankets, medicines and 200 generators
The International Committee of the Red Cross has also sent 171 tons of essential household goods to the Iranian Red Crescent to meet the needs of 25,000 people. The contents of five trucks were delivered yesterday, while the rest will arrive by the end of the week. The organization has also donated 200 generators and 100 motor pumps purchased locally to support rescue and salvage operations.
Red Cross: “Very Difficult Humanitarian Context”
For the Red Cross, the success of this first cross-border operation represents a first step to respond to Iranian requests “in a very difficult humanitarian context,” characterized by very high medical needs. The spokesperson also emphasized the strong psychological impact of the attacks on the civilian population and the work of the Iranian Red Crescent volunteers, who are constantly involved in rescue operations among the rubble, during which at least four of them were killed in subsequent attacks.
Distribution of Aid in Iran
This is the first aid that the Federation manages to get into the country, where it has become the main supplier of emergency assistance in the six weeks of war with the United States and Israel.
The shipment crossed the border on Sunday and is arriving in Tehran, from where it will be distributed according to the needs of the first aid teams operating in the capital and other areas of the country.
