I didn't realize that a next-edition of the federal Farm Bill is in the works. In the previous go-around, the #fruit and #vegetables sector (largely #California) tried to have a greater say in #agriculture policy. But the big three commodities #corn #soybeans #wheat still dominated. #Forests also feature in the Farm Bill: federal funding to States for cooperative extension, #urban forestry etc.

Corn oil healthier? Maybe if it were organic.

Here in the #USA most corn oil is from genetically modified plants sprayed with an herbicide (poison): glyphosate. I avoid all corn products here, unless it is what we call "organic", without genetic modifications and without glyphosate.
