I planted tomatoes, 2 eggplants, and 1 double tomatillo today. The tomato bed is getting carrots planted with them this year, and the other bed will be filled out with some basil. I have one cherry tomato to put in the ground, and maybe another tomatillo next to it and finish out that row with Kentucky blue pole beans. Peppers will go out soon but no hurry since they have a little bit of extra space now indoors. Saw the first spouts of cucumbers and melons today too.

I just checked.
5:30pm and 79 degrees on the cool shady north side of the house.
We are near Redmond WA.
I’ve been keeping the pole bean row and sweet corn patch watered while the seeds germinate.
Looking forward to our own sweet melon.

Alright those herbs are in the ground, all the cucumbers are in pots, as are 4 of the tomato seedlings so tomorrow I'll get in the other 8 & clear some ground for more potatoes.

The cabbages have protective fencing as three bunnies are close by. The fall layer of tree leaves remains thick. Thank you to the trees. This vegetable garden has been managed with nodig methods for over twenty years thanks to mulching. #minnesota, #zone4b, #nodig, #compost, #growyourown.
