Today I have the honour of making lunch for my very first pottery teacher. While she was teaching me, I promised her zaru soba - iced soba noodles to dip in a sauce made of cold dashi, soy, sake and mirin.
She was the one to inspire me to make the zaru soba set I made. So I'm proud to serve it to her in what she inspired.
Zaru soba is a really great, cooling summer meal, with nori strips, grated daikon and wasabi on the side, so each person can season the dip as they like it best. #cooking
