#microshit lässt heute verlauten, dass es für #win10 noch bis Okt 27 Updates geben wird, damit die Nutzer mehr Zeit hätten, um sich einen neuen Rechner zu besorgen.

Mal überlegen... Gerade den 12 Jahre alten Laptop auf #trixie gehoben. Noch nie eine Neuinstallation, nur dist-upgrades. Keine Probleme mit dem Ding...

Akt 1: Ich kann den Termin um 14:00 Uhr nicht wahrnehmen, deswegen sag ich ihn ab.

Akt 2: TL schickt ein Update und zieht den Termin auf 11:00 Uhr.

Ich kann in dem Termin-Update aber nicht sagen "Jau passt" oder so, auf die Rückfrage vom TL muss ich sagen "Ja passt, aber #microsoft lässt mich den nicht wieder annehmen!"

Und jetzt bekomme ich eine Notification dass DER TERMIN DEN ICH ABGESAGT HABE in einer halben Stunde anfängt.

Why does microsoft exist!?!? Just supported a patron that was trying to figure out without opening an email who it was from. Instead of showing the email... Outlook does this thing where it marks it as "unverified" with zero explanation. Hovering over does not show the email the only way to see the email is the open the email or look at the email source... so freaken bad!

Really? I heard #Microsoft does this to be able to run its #AI on people's #computers. The idea is, make sure people have the necessary resources to be #tracked.

There was a great #interview/#discussion about privacy, including this #topic. It was between a #woman and a #man, done #remotely. The man was the one who taught the woman about the importance of #privacy, and in that interview they were discussing various topics in general. IIRC, the man's name was #Megan or so. 🤔 If anyone knows the #video and has the #link, please #share it, I need it.
