Last spin of the night goes to the UK’s Terrible Parade.
A dark and moody kind of #indie #postpunk ; with slashing, echoing guitars and almost motorik rhythms. It’s a record that leans more on tension and atmosphere rather than cathartic choruses. It’s an incredibly restrained, slow-burning album.
One other thing I’d call attention to are the vocals. They sound very detached, but it works really well here.
Accountability, disconnection, collapse.
Who can’t identify with those themes?
A really awesome album, and the only full-length they ever made.
What a shame.
