Re-introduction time! It's time to update this after several years!.
I'm Butterbee and I have learned a lot of #blender3d in the last few years. Originally I preferred the texture work, but have since found I really enjoy making vtuber models and am getting into some light vfx just for funsies.

Open source workflow is my preference and I have ditched all adobe products for a very long time now. I use #blender3d #materialMaker and #krita

Finally, a final version of my #UE5 #environment (part 1)

I did quite a bit polishing and processing in the end as well

#environmentart #gameart #landscape #Unreal #Blender #materialmaker

this is how I made the terrain brushes,

for the mountains as example I first used to create this base terrain in #blender with this geometry nodes setup, then sculpted it a bit and in the end...

I decimated the mesh to give it a unique stylized look.

Similar terrain brushes I created out of a base, that I created with the landscape plugin un blender, or others from #materialmaker

I wasn't that active here in the last months, as I was heavily working on my #UE5 #Landscape #environment

#Unreal #MaterialMaker #Terrain #Art

I am still doing materials, shaders and landscapes. While I used #Godot for my initial landscape project, for the newest one I wanted to try out #Unreal, for fun and mainly to learn something new in a different engine.

Fun fact, even in this project there is quite a lot godot involved, in the form of #materialMaker, creating the #textures

I will continue to work on this project over the next weeks and even polish it further, add some more content ...

Anyone looking for a free open-source solution for procedurally creating materials, textures, sprite sheets, etc. should definitely check out Material Maker.

#MaterialMaker #FOSS #IndieGame

I worked a lot in #MaterialMaker recently and decided to try some materials and grunges out I created there, using them for a texturing experiment with the #Blender #Ucupaint plugin as an alternative to #substance3d.

I ended up creating 2 versions, a regular one and one using tilables and a special overlay mask #shader created in #Godot (Inspired by an unreal shader I use at work)
