Israel, President Herzog’s indictment: “Terrible brutalization of society”
The red line of brutality has been crossed. In the West Bank, regarding the treatment of activists from the Global Flotilla Mudge. Quando ho sentito che Putin aveva lanciato su Kiev il più grande attacco in 4 anni di guerra, pensavo a una strage. Invece, per fortuna, solo 4 morti e 100 feriti. Sempre troppi, certo, ma mi pare un bilancio molto modesto. Invece ho letto titoli come se ci fosse stata un’ecatombe.

Gentile lettrice, non siamo più al solito doppio standard politico. Qui siamo a una sindrome fobica acuta, una russofobia o meglio una Putinfobia che travolge ogni barriera logica. Cito un titolo tra decine: La Stampa, articolo della russa-italiana Anna Zafesova, “La furia insensata dello Zar sull’orlo di una crisi di nervi”. Qui di insensato ci sono solo i titoli come questo. Anche tralasciando che si è trattato di una rappresaglia per l’uccisione di 21 adolescenti in un dormitorio, il bilancio di sabato è la prova provata che i russi non mirano a colpire la popolazione. Se avessero voluto, con 90 missili e centinaia di droni avrebbero fatto migliaia di morti. Eppure, si continua con questo delirio della “crudeltà” di Putin, Putin rabbioso, Putin boia, Putin carnefice, ecc. Sono stereotipi completamente incoerenti con la realtà, in collisione con ogni evidenza logica. Peraltro noto che epiteti del genere non si sono mai visti sui giornali per Netanyahu e per Israele, che hanno seminato, loro sì, carneficine immani, a Gaza, in Libano, in Siria, in Iran. Di Putin direi invece quello che ho già scritto tante volte: che fa la guerra coi guanti bianchi e che per fortuna ha sangue freddo e nervi d’acciaio, sicché non si abbandona a stragi indiscriminate, altrimenti vedremmo in Ucraina gli stessi orrori di Gaza.

L’eco delle polemiche e dell’indignazione sugli attivisti della Global Sumud Flotilla pestati e maltrattati dalle autorità israeliane ad Ashdod, dopo il loro sequestro illegale in acque internazionali, non si placa.
Su quanto accaduto sulle navi dell’IDF e nel porto della città israeliana dove era stato trasportati a terra c’è la lente di ingrandimento della procura di Roma, che aveva già aperto una prima inchiesta sulle violenze denunciate dagli attivisti italiani che parteciparono alla prima spedizione della Flotilla.
A piazzale Clodio i magistrati hanno già iniziato ad ascoltare alcuni degli italiani tornati in patria che erano a bordo della spedizione umanitaria per Gaza. Al vaglio degli inquirenti, oltre all’ipotesi di sequestro già in esame, anche quella di tortura e violenza sessuale.
Anche il team legale italiano della Flotilla sta valutando una denuncia per tortura in merito alle condizioni in cui gli attivisti sono stati trattenuti in Israele. Secondo quanto appreso dall’Ansa, le avvocate stanno iniziando a raccogliere le testimonianze degli italiani rientrati giovedì e presenteranno una integrazione alla denuncia/querela depositata il 19 maggio in Procura a Roma.
Il materiale per le indagini, oltre alla testimonianze degli attivisti, conta paradossalmente proprio sui video diffusi via social dal ministro della Sicurezza nazionale israeliano Itamar Ben Gvir, l’esponente dell’estrema destra messianica che girava tra gli attivisti stipati nel porto di Ashdod e li mostrava a favore di camera mentre erano a terra in ginocchio, mani ammanettate dietro la schiena, derisi.

Dei 400 attivisti internazionali della Flotilla non tutti hanno potuto fare ritorno a casa. A Istanbul, dove erano stati trasferiti dalle autorità israeliane tramite tre voli della Turkish Airlines, cinquanta attivisti sono stati ricoverati in ospedale per lesioni riportate durante la detenzione in Israele. Not all of the 400 international activists of the Flotilla were able to return home. In Istanbul, where they were transferred by Israeli authorities via three Turkish Airlines flights, fifty activists were hospitalized for injuries sustained during detention in Israel. Lunedì alla Procura di Roma ci sarà un vertice per la definizione del fascicolo. Si valuta la contestazione dei reati di tortura e violenza sessuale, oltre a quelli già iscritti di sequestro di persona e danneggiamento. Soprattutto, i pm vogliono valutare se ci sono gli estremi per iscrivere sul registro degli indagati il ministro israeliano Itamar Ben–Gvir, protagonista di un video diffuso dal suo stesso staff in cui deride e umilia i militanti inginocchiati e ammanettato nell’aula allestita nel di Ashdod.
