Agi: Atterrate a Malpensa le salme dei 4 sub italiani morti alle Maldive

AGI - È atterrato intorno alle 13 e 10 il volo della Turkish Airlines che ha riportato in Italia le salme dei quattro sub morti durante una immersione. I corpi di Monica Montefalcone, docente di biologia marina all'Università di Genova, di sua figlia Giorgia Sommacal e dei due giovani ricercatori piemontesi Federico Gualtieri, di Omegna e Muriel Oddenino di Poirino, nel Torinese, dopo le operazioni di sbarco verranno portate all'obitorio dell'ospedale di Gallarate (Varese), struttura di riferimento per l'aeroporto di Malpensa.
Da lunedì le autopsie dei quattro corpi
Qui, a partire da lunedì, saranno eseguite le autopsie. L'esame autoptico sarà eseguito su tutti i corpi, compreso quello di Benedetti, a partire dal pomeriggio di lunedì 25. La procura della Repubblica di Busto Arsizio, che opera per delega della Procura di Roma che ha aperto un fascicolo per omicidio colposo, affiderà l'incarico con i relativi quesiti a Luca Tajana, dell'Istituto di medicina legale dell'Università di Pavia, alla tossicologa forense Cristiana Stramesi, sempre di Pavia, e all'anestesista, rianimatore e specialista di medicina sportiva e subacquea Luciano Ditri, uno dei massimi esperti italiani in medicina iperbarica. I legali delle famiglie potranno nominare i propri consulenti di parte. La famiglia Gualtieri indicherà la dottoressa Carola Vanoli, medico legale dell'Asl del Verbano Cusio Ossola.
 A gestire la procedura è il sostituto procuratore della Repubblica di Busto Arsizio Nadia Alessandra Calcaterra, che opera su delega della Procura di Roma, a cui afferisce il fascicolo che ipotizza il reato di omicidio colposo per ora contro ignoti. Il magistrato bustocco conferirà lunedì in un' udienza in programma alle 12,30 gli incarichi ai periti. Le parti lese potranno nominare i propri consulenti di parte. La prima autopsia a essere eseguita sarà quella del capobarca Gianluca Benedetti, il primo a essere stato riportato in Italia.

The bodies of the 4 Italian divers who died in the Maldives have arrived at Malpensa.

Turkish Airlines flight arrived around 1:10 PM, bringing the bodies of the four divers who died during an underwater excursion back to Italy. The bodies of Monica Montefalcone, a marine biology professor at the University of Genoa, her daughter Giorgia Sommacal, and the two young Piedmontese researchers Federico Gualtieri, from Omegna, and Muriel Oddenino from Poirino, will be taken to the mortuary of the Gallarate hospital (Varese), a reference center for Malpensa Airport, after the disembarkation procedures.

Autopsies on the four bodies will begin on Monday. The autopsy will be performed on all bodies, including that of Benedetti, starting in the afternoon of Monday, May 25th. The public prosecutor's office in Busto Arsizio, operating on behalf of the Rome Prosecutor’s Office which opened a file for negligent homicide, will entrust the task to Luca Tajana, of the Legal Medicine Institute of the University of Pavia, forensic toxicologist Cristiana Stramesi, also of Pavia, and anesthesiologist, resuscitation specialist and specialist in sports and underwater medicine Luciano Ditri, one of Italy’s leading experts in hyperbaric medicine. The families’ lawyers can appoint their own expert witnesses. The Gualtieri family will indicate Dr. Carola Vanoli, a forensic physician of the Verbano Cusio Ossola Health Authority.

The procedure is being managed by Substitute Prosecutor Nadia Alessandra Calcaterra of Busto Arsizio, operating on behalf of the Rome Prosecutor’s Office, to which the file is assigned, which currently hypothesizes the crime of negligent homicide against unknown individuals. The Busto Arsizio magistrate will confer the assignments to the experts in an audience scheduled for 12:30 PM on Monday. The injured parties can appoint their own expert witnesses. L'Unità: Flotilla, la procura di Roma valuta i reati di tortura e violenza sessuale: a Istanbul 50 attivisti ricoverati per le lesioni

L’eco delle polemiche e dell’indignazione sugli attivisti della Global Sumud Flotilla pestati e maltrattati dalle autorità israeliane ad Ashdod, dopo il loro sequestro illegale in acque internazionali, non si placa.
Su quanto accaduto sulle navi dell’IDF e nel porto della città israeliana dove era stato trasportati a terra c’è la lente di ingrandimento della procura di Roma, che aveva già aperto una prima inchiesta sulle violenze denunciate dagli attivisti italiani che parteciparono alla prima spedizione della Flotilla.
A piazzale Clodio i magistrati hanno già iniziato ad ascoltare alcuni degli italiani tornati in patria che erano a bordo della spedizione umanitaria per Gaza. Al vaglio degli inquirenti, oltre all’ipotesi di sequestro già in esame, anche quella di tortura e violenza sessuale.
Anche il team legale italiano della Flotilla sta valutando una denuncia per tortura in merito alle condizioni in cui gli attivisti sono stati trattenuti in Israele. Secondo quanto appreso dall’Ansa, le avvocate stanno iniziando a raccogliere le testimonianze degli italiani rientrati giovedì e presenteranno una integrazione alla denuncia/querela depositata il 19 maggio in Procura a Roma.
Il materiale per le indagini, oltre alla testimonianze degli attivisti, conta paradossalmente proprio sui video diffusi via social dal ministro della Sicurezza nazionale israeliano Itamar Ben Gvir, l’esponente dell’estrema destra messianica che girava tra gli attivisti stipati nel porto di Ashdod e li mostrava a favore di camera mentre erano a terra in ginocchio, mani ammanettate dietro la schiena, derisi.

Dei 400 attivisti internazionali della Flotilla non tutti hanno potuto fare ritorno a casa. A Istanbul, dove erano stati trasferiti dalle autorità israeliane tramite tre voli della Turkish Airlines, cinquanta attivisti sono stati ricoverati in ospedale per lesioni riportate durante la detenzione in Israele. Tra loro, almeno un italiano. “Stiamo cercando in queste ore di avere notizie sulle sue condizioni di salute”, ha detto la portavoce italiana della Flotilla Maria Elena Delia. “Ci riferiscono che in tanti hanno riportato lesioni serie e alcuni sono sotto shock”.

The echoes of controversy and outrage surrounding the activists of the Global Sumud Flotilla, beaten and mistreated by Israeli authorities in Ashdod after their illegal seizure in international waters, show no signs of subsiding.

The investigation by the Rome Prosecutor’s Office, which had already opened an initial inquiry into the violence reported by Italian activists who participated in the first Flotilla expedition, is focusing on what happened on the IDF ships and in the Israeli city port where those taken ashore were transported.

At Piazzale Clodio, magistrates have already begun hearing some of the Italians who returned home, having been aboard the humanitarian expedition to Gaza. In addition to the already examined hypothesis of kidnapping, investigators are also considering the possibility of torture and sexual assault.

The Italian legal team of the Flotilla is also evaluating a torture complaint regarding the conditions in which the activists were detained in Israel. According to Ansa, the lawyers are beginning to collect testimonies from the Italians who returned on Thursday and will present an addition to the complaint/denunciation filed on May 19th at the Rome Prosecutor’s Office.

Paradoxically, the material for the investigation relies heavily on the videos disseminated via social media by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, the far-right messianic figure who filmed the activists crammed in Ashdod’s port, showing them from a low angle while they were on the ground kneeling, handcuffed behind their backs, and humiliated.

Not all of the 400 international activists of the Flotilla were able to return home. In Istanbul, where they were transferred by Israeli authorities via three Turkish Airlines flights, fifty activists were hospitalized for injuries sustained during detention in Israel. Among them, at least one Italian. “We are trying to get news about his health condition in these hours,” said Italian Flotilla spokesperson Maria Elena Delia. “They tell us that many have suffered serious injuries and some are in shock.”
