Il Tempo: Guerra interna in Libano: Hezbollah ordina ai militanti di attaccare pure l'esercito nazionale

Hezbollah ha dato istruzioni ai suoi militanti di affrontare l'esercito libanese qualora questo tentasse di intervenire nelle attività del gruppo contro Israele. Lo ha dichiarato una fonte al Jerusalem Post, aggiungendo che "l'istruzione è molto chiara: se l'esercito libanese tenta di smantellare una posizione o di impedire il lancio di razzi, bisogna affrontarlo". L'indicazione giunge mentre il governo libanese ha recentemente iniziato ad adottare misure contro gli iraniani e i membri del Corpo delle Guardie della Rivoluzione Islamica (IRGC) nel Paese. Tra le altre misure, il Libano ha annunciato che i cittadini dell'Iran potranno entrare nel Paese solo con un visto, ha definito l'IRGC un'organizzazione illegale ed ha espulso dal Paese alti funzionari iraniani. La decisione del Libano fa seguito alla richiesta di Israele di agire contro i membri del regime che operano sul suolo libanese.

Nel frattempo un attacco aereo ha colpito la periferia sud di Beirut, hanno riferito i media statali libanesi, dopo che Israele aveva avvertito che avrebbe preso di mira le filiali di una società legata a Hezbollah. Le immagini trasmesse in diretta dall'AFPTV hanno mostrato grandi colonne di fumo che si alzavano dalla zona, roccaforte del gruppo armato sostenuto dall'Iran. Stamattina, l'esercito israeliano aveva avvertito che avrebbe colpito le filiali di Al-Qard al-Hasan, una società finanziaria legata a Hezbollah che opera principalmente nelle roccaforti del gruppo.

Hezbollah has instructed its militants to confront the Lebanese army if it attempts to intervene in the group’s activities against Israel. This was stated by a source to the Jerusalem Post, adding that “the instruction is very clear: if the Lebanese army attempts to dismantle a position or prevent the launch of rockets, it must be confronted.” The directive comes as the Lebanese government has recently begun taking measures against Iranians and members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the country. Among other measures, Lebanon has announced that Iranian citizens will only be able to enter the country with a visa, has defined the IRGC as an illegal organization, and has expelled high-ranking Iranian officials from the country. The decision by Lebanon follows Israel’s request to take action against regime members operating on Lebanese soil.

Meanwhile, an airstrike hit the south Beirut suburbs, Lebanese state media reported, after Israel had warned that it would target branches of a company linked to Hezbollah. Images broadcast live by AFPTV showed large columns of smoke rising from the zone, a stronghold of the Iranian-backed armed group. This morning, the Israeli army had warned that it would strike the branches of Al-Qard al-Hasan, a financial company linked to Hezbollah that operates primarily in the group’s strongholds.

I'm increasingly thinking the middle east would be much safer and more stable if Iran already had #NuclearWeapons

Ideally NOBODY would have nukes, but if both sides had nukes then Israel might be much more restrained with their own use of conventional weapons.

Nuclear weapons are usually used without detonating them.
