"Ogni singolo giorno questo regime in Iran avrà meno missili, meno lanciatori, le sue fabbriche funzioneranno meno e la sua marina verrà sventrata, e il mondo sarà un posto più sicuro e migliore quando questa missione sara' compiuta", ha aggiunto Rubio.

Il segretario di Stato americano ha poi accusato l'Iran di tentare di "tenere il mondo in ostaggio" con i suoi attacchi contro gli stati del Golfo e bloccando lo Stretto di Hormuz, definendolo un "regime terrorista".
"Penso che tutti noi in questo momento siamo consapevoli della minaccia che questo regime clericale rappresenta per la regione e per il mondo. Stanno cercando di tenere il mondo in ostaggio", ha dichiarato Rubio durante una cerimonia al Dipartimento di Stato, sottolineando che gli Stati Uniti stavano raggiungendo i loro obiettivi nella guerra contro l'Iran.
Il segretario di Stato americano, Marco Rubio, ha poi definito "un governo terrorista" il regime in vigore in Iran.

The U.S. Secretary of State then accused Iran of attempting to “hold the world hostage” with its attacks against the states of the Gulf and blocking the Strait of Hormuz, calling it a “terrorist regime.”
“I believe that all of us at this moment are aware of the threat that this clerical regime represents for the region and for the world. They are trying to hold the world hostage,” Rubio stated during a ceremony at the State Department, emphasizing that the United States was achieving its objectives in the war against Iran.

Le difese della Nato hanno distrutto sopra la Turchia un missile balistico lanciato dall'Iran nell'est del Mar Mediterraneo. Lo rende noto il ministero della Difesa turco. Alcuni frammenti del missile iraniano sono caduti nella provincia di Gaziantep nel sud-est del paese senza causare feriti. "Un missile balistico lanciato dall'Iran e penetrato nello spazio aereo turco è stato neutralizzato dagli elementi di difesa aerea e antimissile della Nato dispiegati nel Mediterraneo orientale", si legge nel comunicato della Difesa turca. L'episodio ha spinto le forze della gendarmeria a isolare la zona e ad avviare un'indagine. Si tratta del secondo incidente di questo tipo sul territorio turco dall'inizio della guerra tra Stati Uniti e Israele contro l'Iran. I media locali di Gaziantep hanno riferito che il ritrovamento dei detriti ha attirato rapidamente l'attenzione pubblica, diffondendosi sui social media. Le forze di sicurezza sono state immediatamente inviate sul posto e sono state rafforzate le misure di sicurezza nell'area.
Intanto il Dipartimento di Stato americano ha deciso di sospendere i servizi del Consolato di Adana, nel sud della Turchia, e ha ordinato al personale governativo statunitense non essenziale e ai familiari dei dipendenti di lasciare il Paese a causa di rischi per la sicurezza. Nel messaggio comparso sul sito web della rappresentanza diplomatica in Turchia tutti li americani presenti nel sud-est della Turchia sono fortemente incoraggiati a lasciare l'area immediatamente. Il Dipartimento di Stato specifica che i cittadini statunitensi in caso di necessità devono rivolgersi alle sedi di Istanbul e Ankara.

Sono stanchi di sperare in un confine che si apre e si chiude secondo le esigenze militari altrui.
Il genocidio a Gaza non era un episodio isolato: era la prima pagina di un manuale. Smotrich lo ha citato in pubblico come modello. Rharrit lo aveva scritto due anni fa. Non la cercò nessuno.

Le autorità degli Stati Uniti esortano gli americani che rimangono in Venezuela a prendere precauzioni "sui viaggi su strada" e di controllare le informazioni aggiornate delle compagnie aeree che tornano a operare nel paese, e ricorda che ci sono ancora interruzioni di corrente e servizi intermittenti.
Il governo degli Stati Uniti mantiene la raccomandazione di non viaggiare in Venezuela per i suoi cittadini e li avverte che affrontano "gravi rischi" come detenzione illegale, tortura, terrorismo, sequestro, applicazione arbitraria delle leggi locali, criminalità, disordini civili e infrastrutture sanitarie carenti.

The U.S. government has warned that there are armed militias in Venezuela seeking Americans or evidence of “U.S. support” and has reiterated its call to its citizens not to travel or leave “immediately” the South American country. The U.S. State Department’s Consular Affairs Office has updated its advisory for Venezuela, which continues to have the highest risk level for Americans. “Before traveling, American citizens should take precautions and be aware of their surroundings. There are reports of armed militia groups, known as collectives, cutting roads and searching vehicles for evidence of American citizenship or support for the United States,” the warning states.
“The security situation in Venezuela remains fluid,” the text published on the website of the U.S. Embassy states.
U.S. authorities urge Americans remaining in Venezuela to take “road travel precautions” and to check updated information from airlines resuming operations in the country, and reminds that there are still power outages and intermittent services.
The U.S. government maintains the recommendation of not traveling to Venezuela for its citizens and warns them that they face “serious risks” such as illegal detention, torture, terrorism, kidnapping, arbitrary enforcement of local laws, crime, civil unrest, and inadequate healthcare infrastructure.
The U.S. State Department withdrew all its diplomatic personnel from the American embassy in Caracas in March 2019.
