Some days ago I took part in the rookie run of Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival.

This would have been my second trailrunning event and a very good test for the T33 Trail at the Montafon-Arlberg Marathon, which takes place at the end of June, if I hadn't had to pause my training for a total of about two and a half months due to three different injuries since Christmas. As it was, it was still an absolutely spectacular experience to participate in such a large event for the first time. It certainly won't be the last.

The #IATF weekend has started!

Did the K7NT this evening as a tune up race for saturday.

So many friendly poeple running, so many volunteers, such a great festival!

The K7NT is an 8km run with 270m of elevation gain. I finished in 0:41:57.1 which is in the top50, not bad for a "warm up".

did an Easy Long-ish Taper Run today, from #inzing to #innsbruck. HR stayed in lower zone 2 for the entire run (something like 130 to 135bpm).

last week I did 8 runs on 5 days summing up to a total of 110km of #running with almost 3000m elevation gain. plus a few km on the bike, a bit of hiking and one strength training session.
for this week I try to focus a little bit more on elevation and after that: tapering for the #K110 at #IATF, the #innsbruckalpinetrailrunfestival.

Today I ran the 25km distance at the #Innsbruck #IATF and was quite satisfied overall. Last yr I found it very challenging due to the heat at the time, but today it was great #TrailRunning with 1300 runners of the same distance.

The 800m of elev gain were manageable, and at the next event in August I will try to break the 1800m

And I noticed that as a 52yo runner, I've already been classified as a senior ... that escalated quickly ...
