4 mile run this evening, of which 3 miles were hill repeats. Much better than my attempt on Sunday.
This hill was about 320m and I’ve worked it out to be about 4%.
Still found it quite boring just going up and down but oh well!

Something I've noticed as a beginner runner: when you go too fast, your body is working so hard just to keep up that there's no bandwidth left to think about form. Cadence, posture, foot strike - all quickly go out the window.
Slowing right down, and accepting to be slow, requires lots of patience and discipline. But it gives you the space to actually practise running well. Speed can come later.
If you're looking to improve your #running, the Norwegian approach to sub-threshold training might be worth looking into.
I've read both of these now cover-to-cover and the framework is simple: easy, sub-t, easy, sub-t, easy, sub-t, easy long.
I train by power and keep my CP updated. Unless in a special block, my schedule is:
1. 60' @ < 80% CP
2. 10×3' @ 96-99% CP
3. 60' @ < 80% CP
4. 5×6' @ 94-97% CP
5. 60' @ < 80% CP
6. 3×10' @ 92-95% CP
7. 90-120' @ 80-83% CP

The Run of the TumorRunner
Am 12. April ist mein erster Halbmarathon nach dem Tumor. Zeit für ein neues Laufshirt, denn ich bin der #TumorRunner.Well that's came to a end in somewhat a crappy ending. I didn't know that there was a pace limit to the run, so they had to keep it above 8km/h to make the cut as they ran a km a day extra for 83 days in a row. Merlin (@wizarofrun over on IG) got hit by a truck yesterday, well his 50kg trailer did, he is ok. So he had to faff around with getting it fixed, transported to a campground etc while running 82km. This from what I understand made him not make the Hardecore Harry cut off time/pace. Tim (@Timk_endurance) set out to do 83km today not knowing. Still what an ultra run for all.
Guten Morgen vom #SunriseRun🌄🏃➡️👟 im Selztal von Rheinhessen🍇.
