Pretty out today. Followed the Vantaanjoki for a bit and returned through central park.

Release notes are up!

I wish it went without saying, but these notes are completely written by hand.

0.16.0 Release Notes ⚡ The Zig Programming Language

WA only, selbst eMails werden ignoriert - selbst erlebt.

Working to get this out soon, so not on the live server yet.

The idea is to let the community search for climbs to train on.

The initial data is coming from race data but the system is capable of identifying places where people train frequently (this will be opt-in for users who want to participate). I think it will be nice to have a searchable catalog of categorised #trailrunning climbs.

Zig 0.16.0 is tagged. Release notes are just about completed and will be published in about 20 hours when the tarballs finish building.

As it turns out, it takes a while to build LLVM 27 times on one computer! That's how many different targets we provide compiler binaries for now - all cross compiled from one host.

As I slowly watch more and more projects become tainted by LLM-generated code, I'm forced to look into alternatives that have explicit policies against AI. This sucks for obvious reasons but one bright side of it is that I'm exploring new tools that I otherwise would have just kept on ignoring, like #clojure. The lisp syntax was certainly not love at first sight for me (it's growing on me though), but the integration between the repl and editor is pretty great, and I love being able to write for the JVM without feeling the need to reach for an IDE. Next up on my list of languages to check out are #hare and #zig

started the week with a long-ish 26k +680m elevation #run.

met some ducks and enjoyed the views in #innsbruck.

last week I did 8 runs on 5 days summing up to a total of 110km of #running with almost 3000m elevation gain. plus a few km on the bike, a bit of hiking and one strength training session.
for this week I try to focus a little bit more on elevation and after that: tapering for the #K110 at #IATF, the #innsbruckalpinetrailrunfestival.

Hi all, Codeberg currently needs help with the following: We wish to deploy the latest version of our registration form for new members (with lots of new information) under: https://join.codeberg.org

Before we do so, we need some more translations by the community. You can view a more recent version and compare here: https://join-test.codeberg.org

If there's still work left to do for your language and you have a few spare minutes, it'd help: https://translate.codeberg.org/projects/codeberg/ev-registration-server/
