Zur Premiere des Super-Mario-Films wurde das Metropol Kino kurzerhand zur Gaming-Zone – inklusive Mario Kart Duellen gegen den König der Koopas persönlich.
Besonders schön: viele Kinder haben Mario gerade erst entdeckt, während die Eltern sich plötzlich wieder wie in den 90ern fühlten 🎮
Hinter den Kostümen steckt übrigens der Innsbrucker Verein Chiroru – eine wachsende Community für Anime, Manga, Gaming und Pen & Paper.

Und hier noch eine Zusammenfassung, um was es bei den Prairieland Defendants geht: Dangerous Precedent: Why We Have to Fight Back Against the Prairieland (Texas) Defendants’ “Antifa” Terrorism Conviction On March 13, 2026, nine defendants were found guilty in a US federal district court of providing support for terrorism as an alleged “antifa cell” following a July 4 noise demonstration outside the Prairieland ICE detention center in Alvarado, Texas. As the Guardian noted after this devastating verdict, the case is a “major test of the First Amendment and whether the government [can] use a broad anti-terrorism statute to prosecute left wing protesters,” not to mention antifascists, anarchists, and anyone engaged in resistance. So far, the US government has won—in what can only be described as a farce of a jury trial in Fort Worth in which little to no actual evidence was introduced, and heartbreakingly, several “cooperating defendants” (snitches) testified against their fellow defendants. All nine of the convicted defendants, most incarcerated since early July 2026, face sentences of decades or even life in prison for various forms of dissent—including wearing black, having medic supplies on hand or a printer at home, deleting people from a Signal organizing thread, and setting off fireworks at the July 4 noise demo. One, Daniel “Des Revol” Rolando Sanchez Estrada, a PoC immigrant, anarchist, tattoo artist, and beloved community member, is at risk of deportation too. Des’s “crime,” despite having not even been there on July 4: Lending familial support to his wife, Maricela Rueda, who was arrested for attending the demo, and moving his own box of zines. Sentencing, by the same judge, takes place on June 18. All the Prairieland defendants need your solidarity to get the charges dropped, especially given the chilling precedents that this case sets for anyone engaging in anti-ICE, or indeed any form of resistance against fascism in the United States, Europe, and beyond.
