In a way, I created a world where the Victorian past exists beside a modern present, making for the best of both worlds.

This opened the door to mystery and suspense, including noir, which is evident by Book-7 of the Kovenlore Chronicles, while Book-4, in a way, feels like War of the Worlds.

There’s a link for me. The 20s were when my grandparents married. My grandfather even worked for Edison for a time.

Carrdia was “Victorian,” but became medieval because of cruel leaders. Meanwhile, Riparia, who envisions a future world, discovers what was truly lost in the distant past.

Pannulus embodies that.

I had to marry magic and technology to make airships, cameras, lifts, moving pictures, trains, and vehicles possible. Too, how would magic, and the world’s culture, influence the arts and fashion, even sports?
