Other than that, hmm, I'm an #autistic #Welsh person who lives in beautiful #Tynedale, and I spend my working time fiddling about with emergency #healthcare #data to improve care quality in the #NHS. I have issues with #anxiety and #loneliness, and I'm an abuse survivor. And I'm also lazy, so I copypasted that from previous introductions.

Some other things:
politics: left, handwringing lefty liberal social democrat wokeista etc;
great love: #trees and #woodland, I do volunteer work in my local #woods;
I'm obviously very fond of #SilentCinema;
fascinated by: #birds (but I'm hopeless at identifying them), #cricket (especially #CountyCricket and #Durham), #tea; #gardening, at which I am a total novice and trying to learn; oh, and football, which is #Gateshead. There are no other Gateshead fans on fedi. Prove me wrong. You can't.

Also, very glad to not be part of a #cult. No cults here. Absolutely not.

And I promise that this is the last time I will put hashtags in the middle of the post rather than all at the beginning or end. I think hashtags in the middle is permitted for an introduction, or I hope so anyhow.

Just ordered 450 gallons and 660 litres* of beer for Tynedale Beer Festival, and that's just my share of the brewery list. I hope somebody turns up to drink it.

As I've moved to a new instance, it's time for another #introduction - and whereas writing the first one felt deeply uncomfortable, this time it seems a lot easier. That's the transition from Twitter-brain to Mastodon-brain.

Who I am is more or less this: I'm an #autistic #Welsh person who lives in beautiful #Tynedale, and I spend my working time fiddling about with emergency #healthcare #data to improve care quality in the #NHS. I have issues with #anxiety and #loneliness, and I'm an abuse survivor. Because of the past abuse, I keep myself anonymous all over the internet; however, I've been using the Rollo Treadway alias for so long that it feels like part of me, my alter ego. So feel free to call me Rollo.

And I'm okay with they/them pronouns (because I don't really feel I fit within any gender identity) and also he/him (because that's what everyone offline has always used for me). Or frankly, any other pronouns, it's all good.

I migrated to #Mastodon from #Twitter during 2022 (initially at the start of the year, but properly in the autumn) and am very happy here.

Politically, I'm a #HandwringingLeftyLiberal, and like my bio says, I really don't have any time for Tories. This includes any close equivalents to Tories in other countries.

I love #trees and #woodland, I like to go #walking when I feel physically/mentally able, I'm fascinated by #birds but am hopeless at identifying them. I am *very* serious about #tea, I am (obviously) devoted to #SilentCinema, I'm unhealthily focused on #cricket (mostly #FirstClassCricket, #TestCricket and #CountyCricket, the white ball stuff isn't really for me), and especially #Durham in the #CountyChampionship. And in #football, I support #Gateshead.

I take a photo from my window every morning, glad that I have a bit of a view, watching the far side of the valley change with the seasons.

I don't usually share those pictures; everyone who isn't me would get bored awfully quickly.

But I thought I'd share this morning's, purely because I'm new here and I haven't previously shared a photo of the valley in dense fog whilst it's clear up here.

Looking down on the fog never fails to entrance me.

Went for a walk this morning. I haven't had nearly enough proper walks this year, for one reason or another. But the weather was good, and I had nothing else pressing to do, so I forced myself to put one foot in front of the other for six miles or so.

The #Tyne was looking beautiful, the #trees were settling down for a winter's sleep, and I befriended a gorgeous #oak .

Oh also, if everyone's doing an #Introduction - I really hate talking about myself, my skin is crawling - this person here is #autistic, is #Welsh, is living in beautiful #Tynedale, and does quality improvement data stuff for the #NHS.
