The whispers in the distance bring an uneasiness that often is nothing more than the perpetual fear of the bottom falling out, when you exist at the bottom where do you go when that too falls apart, for far to many ignore the plight of poverty, for it is not a choice of person but circumstances that compound beyond relief, for when you trip and fall and find yourself disabled, your self value degrades before your eyes, then the ability to eat, clothe, bathe, and keep a roof over your head becomes a monumental task, no amount of bootstrapping yourself can life you out of the pit of despair, for if I eat this meal now, I can not eat tomorrow, if I bathe today, I cant bathe tomorrow, if I pay my rent today, I may not be able to eat and bathe tomorrow, sleep becomes a torturous cycle of nightmares and insomnia, your body declines each day without the basic nutrition to maintain, the stress rewires your brain it destroys your heart, the physical pain becomes the only constant in your existence, your pleas for help for dignity become a chant the world tunes out, for if today you get to eat, your not relived but fear when the next meal will be, to have the means to not only survive but to thrive are but a distant dream, to lift one out of the mire is to show compassion while offering dignity and a hope of what will be, I am still $3,610 short of fulling my goal to end the year, so that I can wrap up some things I really need to take care of, It would be wonderful if the global community of humans could help me raise this last little bit to finish this year with, as always your compassion and support are truly a lifeline for someone like me;

It would be a #Christmas Miracle, and it could be a reality if #Santa could find a way to help this #disabled man existing in #poverty to raise all the money he needs, to buy property to build his forever home, and fill it with all he will ever need, to have security and stability to have a roof that will be forever mine, to have the space to create and thrive, to have the room to grow and fill my life, to have the hope to not only live but have the means to also help others, if at first the number seems big, when you realize the need and the dream it really is rather small, to have and never need to stand and not fall to my knees, for if by Grace this Christmas be a gift for me to ever be, $5million will set me free, it will be the gift of life to me, if only all the Elf's in Santa's realm could and would join with me, and make this Christmas Wish a reality;

I don't not want to be perceived. I just wish I had more control over how I am perceived and not perceived. My self is in flux, it is not a thing but a performance and it performs in multitudes.

It becomes harder to have control of this online. What I say online has the potential to be more than mere utterances, they can be seen as unwavering statements - I mean, they can replace the real me! Things like algorithmic awareness, character limits and context collapse also add to this anxiety of having to manage an online profile and presence. I was once excited to broadcast myself on the internet; I became extremely cynical, and now, I am trying to hold a balanced view of things. I think part of it is my childhood naivety and deep desire to be seen, coupled with the desire not being realised. The other part is not understanding the medium - and the message of the medium. Understanding this and being critical of it doesn't necessarily imply that the answer is giving up life online altogether, I think (of course the answer is socialism!).
