Now THIS is black tea (ft. grodytube )
Ripe puerh is inky blank like the void of space. In China they call ripe puerh black and the 'black tea' is called red tea. Honestly it makes a lot of sense.

Happy Wednesday! I hope it’s awesomesauce!
Today’s reminder is to check in on your needs! How are you doing on food, water, rest, medication if you need it, and joy? (Joy always counts, it helps get us through the day!) Could you use a break and some time to read? How about time with a friend? Whatever you need, I hope it rocks!
Today’s tea is chai, so nice for this cooler day! What are you brewing up?
Yes, the stupid graphic was also posted late for tea consumption. It was screenshot late, & posted late. I told you up front it was stupid, right?
Today tea was running about 1h late. That's better.
BTW, I was thinking about HAL 9000 singing this, not a "real person," because that's where we're at today and yesterday.
Tasted a lot of fermented Vietnamese #tea today. The tea master claimed that they are all soothing and calming even though some were only fermented for about a year.
I am very caffeine sensitive, so was suspicious, also since a lot of #puerh I have tried has a strong effect on me.
I am surprised now that I drank seven (!) kinds of tea (2-4 cups each) and barely feel any effect from caffeine.
Comments/discussion very welcome, as I am really not an expert in the field of fermented tea 🙏
At #Ikiya, in addition to #tea tastings, we also host workshops in collaboration with artists and artisans. This Saturday, we’re welcoming the talented Momo Kanzashi, who will teach the art of tsumami zaiku.
What is tsumami zaiku?
Tsumami zaiku (つまみ細工 – "the art of pinching") is a traditional technique dating back to the 1600s, still practiced in #Japan today.
