@futurebird I think that #techbros are just little boys longing to talk to their teddy bear. #Animism is something deep in our minds. What irritates me: these guys have no problem to talk to trash but could never talk to a tree or see an intelligent animal as a person. And this crashing with #nature makes me feel deeply unwell.

@CommonMugwort Fascinating article! I am curious to see how this develops in brain research. #Animism is not tied to #mushrooms, but it is fascinating to see that ancient cultures had their own rituals to focus on different experiences.
I remember well Christian Rätsch, a German ethnologue: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_R%C3%A4tsch In his encyclopedia he wrote also about European #psychoactive plants and fungi.
