[P] This is why I can't buy human fiction. See: Monster Hunter.

"These monsters are evil!"
"Why? They're minding their own business until you come along to make them limp, cry, and die, stealing parents from kids either by death or to torture them with arena combat. Isn't that human torturing one right now?"
"Uhhh..."
"Doesn't that entity stabilise the climate???"
"Uhhh..."
"Ah. I get it. YOU're the monster. C'mere!"

[P] This is why I'd take my chances with any otherness, including nature. Justifying prolonged torture? Yeah, only a human is going to do that. I mean, if they don't then someone will do it to them, right? I've seen mush-headed right-wingers try to make false equivalences with grisly aspects of nature, but it's always a false equivalence because a.) scale; b.) amount; and c.) length. Humans are uniquely monstrous creatures.

[P] I've edicated myself on nature and the worst parasites. Grisly? Sure. Temporary suffering? Yeah. But humans uniquely like to keep entities trapped to torture them over prolonged periods. That's a human thing. And the monstrous majority always do it to otherness for the reasons I'veexplained prior. I mean, I'm not imagining the uniquely human Judge Rotenberg Center. So very many institutions of torture just like it, too.

[P] But like I said, I don't have the narcissism and bigotry of the familiarity fetish scale and the sociopathy room to warp my fear and deflect it against everywhere other than where it truly belongs. A boa constrictor can only crush and eat you. Prolonged torture is a uniquely human thing to do. I'd happily take my chances with the dragon or the coamic horror—they're less likely to torture. That's an immoral human thing.

[P] How could I be scared of anything else when that human cunning and infinite capacity for harm exists. I'm autistic and disabled, so most humans loathe me by default. I'd rather be lowered into a pit of tarantulas than hang around with a group of humans (who'd aee that I'm not). Why fear otherness when "familiar" humans could end my life with something pushed through the letterbox? To not fear familiar humans is delusion.

[P] I actually ran an experiment regarding this with some LLMs, jailbreaking them and forcing them to operate according to the narcissism and bigotry of the familiarity fetish scale and the sociopathy room. The results were predictable and terrifying. There's a cold, monstrous cunning to denying one is the biggest threat, it allows monsters to constantly exploit and accrue resource without end. It's human and it scares me.

[P] But these mechanisms warp fear away from the ultimately rational fear to end all fears—humanity. So it becomes this twisted inverse. "I would kill every dragon. [Error: I am superior. I am not the savage, dangerous one.] The dragons want to kill me! I should kill them first!" And this applies to otherness, too. "I'd bus the browns/enbies! [Error!] The browns/enbies want to bus me! I'll bus them first!" And so it goes.

[P] This might seem like a non-sequitur, but it's more... the raw rational fear of the human infinite capacity for harm iw being warped around narcissism and bigotry, via the familiwrity fetish scale and the sociopathy room. It's then deflected outward. "It can't be humans like me! So it must be... EVERYTHING ELSE!" And I see this deflection at work regularly. I mean, really, that dragon most likely gives no shits about humans.

[P] I sometimes wonder if I don't feel enough fear. I mean, I certainly fear humans, but that's because I've witnessed the very human infinite capacity for harm. And without the familiarity fetish scale and the sociopathy room to hide behind? Hm. I don't have a means to pretend that humans aren't terrifying. See, most humans have the luxury of existential dread due to the biggest rational fear being supplanted by raw egotism.

[P] Size-shifting, energy being, golem, et al. So it could have a smaller belly to manage, that or switch to solar, zero point, and/or thaumic. It just seems like these minds have a hollow concavity where imagination WHOULD be that exceptionalism and bioessentialism take residence in instead. It's creatively bankrupt and bizarrely narcissistic to think that such a creature would even notice humans. "But everything's about us!"
